TV show description:
This sitcom revolves around an All-American family who ends up moving into a very unusual neighborhood.
Marty Weaver (Lenny Venito) just wants the best for his wife Debbie (Jami Gertz) and their three kids; Amber (Clara Mamet), Max (Max Charles), Abby (Isabella Cramp). That’s why he’s moves them to Hidden Hills — a New Jersey gated community that has its own golf course. Marty is certain that their new home will be a dream come true — until they meet the neighbors.
The residents of Hidden Hills are a little different to say the least. Larry Bird (Simon Templeman) introduces himself as the leader of the community. Then, he presents his wife, Jackie Joyner-Kersee (Toks Olagundoye) and their two sons, Dick Butkus (Ian Patrick) and Reggie Jackson (Tim Jo).
As Debbie and Marty try to make sense of their weird neighbors, they discover that the entire Hidden Hills community is comprised of aliens from the planet Zabvron. It turns out the Zabvronians have been holed up in Hidden Hills for the past 10 years, awaiting instructions from their home world. The Weavers are the first humans who have ever lived amongst them.
At first, the Weavers are ready to head for the hills but the aliens seem harmless enough. So, they decide to stay and help their new neighbors adapt to life on our confusing planet.
As the Weavers and the aliens face the struggles of everyday life together, they discover that some things — the ups and downs of marriage, the desire to be a good parent and raise a happy family — are universal. The Weavers also realize they’ve found an ally in the family next door — even if they do cry out of their ears.
Episode #44 — There Goes the Neighbors’ Hood
Larry learns that he is pregnant and makes a decision about returning home or staying with the rest of the Zabvronians. Meanwhile, Reggie must also decide if he wants to stay himself or turn human, and the families see two new visitors arriving at the neighborhood (Candace Cameron and Scott Weinger reunite from Full House to guest star).
First aired: April 11, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like The Neighbors TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a third season?
You should not have cancelled this show. It was a good and funny show. Sure some of it was out there but that is what made the show. You could just sit back and watch the show without thinking. We all need to relax more. BRING IT BACK ON!!!!
This show should NOT be cancelled!!!I Loved the Neighbors. That show was great, and is much needed on Wednesday nights. It was very funny and entertaining, Please bring them back!!!
I loved the show a lot better than big brother please reconsider and bring it back
Please do not cancel The Neighbors. Good family show. We love the concept. It is just fun and funny.
Please bring back the Neighbors, we really enjoy this show, “DON’T CANCEL” PLEASE it’s a good family show we are always in stiches, always look forward to the next episode
Please do not cancel The Neighbors! It could be moved to ABC Family or another affiliate network! This show if different, clever, and could continue with the plot for a long time! I love Reggie and Amber and the alien family is hilarious! My teenage daughter and I look forward to it every week!
Agree!
I’m so disappointed. Please bring Neighbors back. One of the few shows I looked forward to watching. I’m so sick of reality shows. It was nice to have a show that just made you laugh. Wonderful actors and very funny. Bring it back.
Agree! Please bring The Neighbors back!
This show should not be cancelled. This show and the middle are better than that modern family. This show was so different. Bring it back.
This show should NOT be cancelled! Besides “Modern Family” it’s about the only cleverly written comedy for middle-aged Americans on TV. Do NOT do it!
This show was more than a mere comedy. Despite the fact that it was the first show to make me laugh aloud in many years, it also has insight into the greater human comedy. It would seem that one of the other lesser networks owned by the same company could pick it up.
I LOVE this show! It’s funny, fresh, sweet and NOT some stupid reality show or car crashing show! Please renew it!!!!
I loved The Neighbors and looked forward to my Neighbors night. What a great way to finish my stressful day and it left me happy. The time was right, too. One or two shows and then bedtime. I love the cast. Hey, I wonder what would happen if Neighbors met Corner Gas (a Canadian sit com with a soon to be released movie). Less friends with benefits and more family with an upbeat but sometimes serious relationship. I also watch Middle for the same reason. And even the new Odd Couple, Bing Bang, is terrific. Take rules of Engagement off… Read more »
I loved The Neighbors, there are so few GOOD comedies on now, and all the actors were excellent except George Sakei. Also, I thought the first shows were much better, maybe you should change the writing staff? Sorry
I thought it was a very funny show and should be renewed. I laughed I cried….actually I didn’t cry but I did laugh…..a lot. Bring it back.
Needed more time to find a following and better time slot. They should move it to ABC Family – it is a very funny show.
