It looks like Chloe King may indeed have nine lives, or at least her show may have a second one. At today’s ABC Family session of the Television Critics Association Press Tour, president Michael Riley said that a TV movie of cancelled The Nine Lives of Chloe King may be coming.
The Nine Lives of Chloe King was cancelled in September following a less-than-successful season of 10 episodes. Like many ongoing serials that end prematurely, Chloe King left viewers with lots of unanswered questions. In the final episode, Chloe (Skyler Samuels) lost another of her lives and was kissed by Brian (Grey Damon) — who then died (?) from the contact. Alek (Benjamin Stone) walked in on his brother Zane (Daniel Sharman) as he stood over Jasmine (Alyssa Diaz) and Valentina (Alicia Coppola) as they are dying from poison.
Interestingly, Riley prefers not to talk about the cable channel’s decisions to cancel certain shows and that includes Chloe King. He said, “We never talk about cancelling shows at ABC Family. We always make sure we air all of our productions because for us, it’s very much a long-term view. Honestly, we love all of our shows, and Chloe King is such a great example of just an amazing show. We loved the cast, we loved the writing in that show. For us, it was about making some decisions. We had to choose between what we thought was resonating stronger with the audience.”
Riley continued, “We are actually on the verge of putting a movie into development. For us, we are always looking at the intellectual property that we’re capitalizing on and making sure there is opportunity.” He emphasized that the projects not a done deal yet however, saying, “We are just looking at it in development right now. The idea is very much to capitalize on the storytelling that’s already been in place.”

There are NO words to explain how upset I am that you decided to cancel “Nine Lives Of Chloe King,” and replace it with “Jane by Design.” What, may I ask, were you thinking? Sure I watch “Jane by Design” but if I were to choose between the two it would be “Nine Lives” hands down there was so much more to it then there is to “Jane” I am highly dissapointed in ABC Family’s decision and I’m not one to say that seeing its one of my fav. I LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please make it a series but a movie would be cool too. I watched it on netflix and was just looking to see for a second series and found this! I’m heart broken! But pppppppppplllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeeeeee bring back the series! If u must make the movie, but it’s so not cool to leave so many hanging! And everyday someone will watch this show and say ” omg! I love this show, weeds the second sesson!” and they will become heart broken 2! Bring back Chloe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.s. NOOOOOO! I don’t want a movie! I want the series, it’s amazing, getting a bit better than secret life and Jane Design something. I want the show back not the movie!
omg no please don’t cancel the show !! i was SO looking forward to seeing what happens next ! who could possibly hate this show ?? i’ve been waiting since august and i thought the show was just on a break but now i’m so sad… please bring the series back, but if you reallly really can’t then i guess a movie is better than nothing. :'(

OMG bring TNLOCK back. i agree with all of you out there. it shouldn’t just be brought back as a movie, the TV show needs to be back on air. The show really had bad advertisements so it is not our fault ABC got no viewers. I never even watched the show on TV. I saw it on my recommended on Netflix. i watch many shows on ABC and not once did I see a TNLOCK commercial. A movie wouldn’t be horrible because then at least it would have a end but they might replace characters which would be terrible.… Read more »
Well, I’m a bit bitter that they killed off Brian(not a fan of Alek). If they make a movie, I would like to see all of the races(that alek said where decendants of the gods.) And she needs to used her claws when she fights. And she really should make Paul her sidekick.
If they decide to do the right thing and bring the show back, they better find a way to bring Brian back from the dead.
Series please please please…y’all got rid of the most amazing show. Why? Haha dumb move!!! Bring it back.
OH MY GOSH… I want the TV series to come back!!! Not a movie!! It wouldn’t be the same!! I wouldn’t be able to think from week to week, “I wonder what’s going to happen next.” “I wonder if she’ll get with Alek.”. Also here comes the big question… did Brian actually die?! I really dont care what they do as long as the get me and everyone eles some answers…. A moive, bring it back, mini series… What ever but they cant not just leave us hanging like that. They should never have replaced Chloe King with Jane by Design, Jane is ok, but Chloe was soooo much better. What were they thinking?! A movie would be ok, but i think they should bring back the series. Bring Chloe BACK!!!
