Last season, ABC tried a murder mystery reality show with the Whodunnit? series. It didn’t do very well. Now they’re trying another fantasy competition with The Quest. Will this one be a ratings success and be renewed for a second season, or will it be cancelled too? Stay tuned!
On The Quest, a dozen everyday people are transported to a fantasy world called Everealm where they have adventures and compete to be the last “true hero” remaining. The cast includes Peter Windhofer, Jan Hutter, Marcello de Nardo, Susanne Gschwendtner, Stephanie Buddenbrock, Florence Kasumba, Mai Duong Kieu, and Doug Tait.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
Update: Will ABC be renewing The Quest for a second season?
Final season averages: 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 1.94 million total viewers.

Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like The Quest TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a second season?
I love his show! I am 60 & wouldn’t last a day in this world but I can live my dreams thru these palladins. I love Bonnie & Patrick who have the heart of a hero but I think Shondo has the hero spirit and the advantage of physical skill & being used to brutal competition. Please don’t cancel this show…& let me know if you ever plan a geriatric version of the show! Iit might kill me but I would die happy!
Love the concept but wish the challenges were more fun and interesting to watch. I think this series needs to be tweaked and hope it is renewed for another season. It deserves a chance.
Great concept but I think this series is still a work in progress. I want to like it more but wish the challenges were more exciting and fun to watch.
At least it is an attempt to make reality tv more interesting.
I really like the show because it’s reality with a twist. I agree the contestants reaction to the Queen’s poisoning was a bit unrealistic. They know she’s an actress yet spoke of how well she looked when she recovered and how afraid they were that she might die. Seriously? I know they have to go along with the story, but should not play down to the audience. That said, I would like to see the show continue–with some improvements.
Got interested in watching the first couple of episodes–then last week and this coming week — pre-season football == pre-emepted the series–(ugh-I dare care about pre-season games)–would like to know when ABC will continue with the series.
Having now watched another week, I’ve reached the following conclusions:
1. The show is scripted. The contestants took the queen’s poisoning much too seriously for us to take their reactions seriously (if you know what I mean)
2. The contest to find the antidote was lame
3. Heaven help the kingdom if this group had to face a real peril. One true heroes they aren’t.
I won’t be making any further comments. This show is now off my weekly PVR list. It’s a big dud.
it sucks
Same old boring reality TV crud, scripted or unscripted.
The Show’s really not THAT bad of a First Attempt at trying to Combine Fantasy&Reality TV Shows. There’s always gonna be Problems that first time you attempt something new,I mean Edison came up with thousands of Wrong Ways to make a telephone before he came up with the Right one.
Don’t you mean Bell? Edison went through thousands of light bulbs before he got it right not phones.
Boring. Sexist (two females banished in the first two weeks). The contests are at an amateurish level at least so far. Credits suggest that the acting cast is mainly European. Presume that was cheaper for the producers than bringing in North American talent. The “contestants”, I suspect, may not be what they appear to be. I think I’ve seen several of them in other scripted TV shows (could be wrong). My suspicion. This is a variation on last season’s disaster, NBC’s Siberia. However unlike Siberia where the audience knew that it was not a real game, this time it is… Read more »
After two episodes via Hulu, I like where they’re going with the show. The theatrics, effects and the concept of a reality series based in a medieval fantasy realm grabs my attention right from the start. The competitions seem to lacking in skill level. Lets get some American ninja warrior type competitors on the show and really amp up the challenges and obstacle courses. I want to really believe that this show could produce a real life hero.
NEVER have I witnessed such a lame attempt at entertainment. Production quality: A+. Story line: F. Ridiculous unless you have the mentality of a 14-year-old. CBS: What does the public have to do to get a reality show with humor, intrigue, controversy and a plot line people can become emotionally involved with? ie REAL life? You have wasted millions. Whoever sits in your “head of reality programming” seat needs to be banished along with the losers of this ridiculous show. Period.
an awesome show I love it its not scripted its real and its original. Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings meets survivor and Big Brother.
If you are looking for action this isnt it, nor is it entertaining. Its boring, dull, lack of any type of reality and it wont last.. sorry folks. 1 thumb up out of 5…
I thought it was fun and refreshing to watch. I want to be contestant! Like a glorified obstacle course run. They need to make more physical challenges though.
