It’s been awhile since ABC introduced a new reality competition and even longer since they’ve had a ratings hit. Will The Taste bring in great ratings or will it be cancelled after one season instead? We’ll have to wait and see!
The first season of The Taste typically airs Tuesday nights on the ABC network and is a cooking competition of sorts. The show’s judges/mentors are Anthony Bourdain, Nigella Lawson, Ludo Lefebvre, and Brian Malarkey.
Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if The Taste is going to be cancelled or renewed for a second season.

It was an okay start for the reality competition. A year ago, Last Man Standing did about the same and Cougar Town and The River were about 20% lower. The test will be to see how many people return next week.
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you like The Taste TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
WHY have I watched (okay, DVR’d and sped through) all of this CRAP. The unlikeability of the finalists is exceeded only by the unlikeablity of the judges.
In order for there to be ANY sense of fairness about the results in this show, they would have to have an UNBIASED panel of judges taste every dish in every episode.
Always leaves a “bad taste”.
Stop it before someone gets hurt!!!!!
A bunch of children would get along much better…and the language is not good for any age group…Nothing mature on that show but the food….just doesn’t agree with so many people…
thanks for letting me vent..
I think the show is fantastic and I’m someone who watches Iron Chef, Chopped, etc.. I understand the show completely and love the format.
Cancel it. Judges are biased. Show boring. One taste is NOT enough. We “commoners” know that.
This is a confusing, disorganized show, and the mix between the judges is terrible.
It most certainly should be cancelled. There are some excellent food/cooking shows with
people who know what they are doing. I like Nigella and Tony, but not on this show. Please replace it with something enjoyable.
Hate it……to hard to understand the concept or the judges. Twice was enough for me…..CAN IT.
We tried to watch this show a few times to give it a try. We’re done. To confusing, unfocused, kill it…..
I will no longer be watching since the judges did exactly what the show was advertising would not happen, and thats biased judging/voting. The show advertised its all about the taste and decisions will be made blindly. Then they allow the final decision at the end of every episode to be made un-blinded. The male, professional chef who left out salt was saved and the female, home cook who made a delicious deseart according to the judges was kicked off. The politics were obvious as the French judge even said he fought and got the other judges to save his… Read more »
I love it! Nigella and Anthony are great. Judges appear to very invested. I really like the concept.
Worst cooking show ever on TV and there are many good cooking shows now. This however may be the worst ever TV show of any kind.
I don’t think you can judge one bite personally. From personal experience I have found that to be true. One other thing, why do they say after they make their decision that they should have said yes.. Will see what happens. That station has a habit of removing something good and keeping something not so.
Stupid show they say no at 1st then change there mind when they see the person..whats the point?!? canc
I think this show will definately get cancelled! You need more than one taste to see if that certain food is going to taste good at all. I do not think you can tell with just one taste. The show will not last.
cancel this crap….along with The Chew and Katie
hate it…that and “the chew” Really, lets get some shows that people really want to watch!
