TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a generation of humans who have been born with paranormal abilities.
Up until a year ago, Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) was a regular teenager but one day, he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep. He never knew where he might wake up. Now, Stephen’s issues have gone far beyond the usual teenage angst, and he’s beginning to question his sanity.
Out of desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List), and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — the Tomorrow People. They’re a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.
The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. Led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino), Ultra sees the Tomorrow People as a very real existential threat from a rival species, and the outcast group has been forced to secretly live in an abandoned subway station just beneath the surface.
Trading in secrets, Jedikiah offers Stephen the chance for a normal life with his family and best friend, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), but only if he will help in the struggle to isolate and eradicate the Tomorrow People.
On the other hand, Cara, John and Russell offer Stephen a different type of family and a home where he truly belongs.
Unwilling to turn his back on humanity or the world of the Tomorrow People, Stephen sets out on his own path — a journey that may take him into the shadowy past to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance.
Episode #22 — “Son of Man”
Russell realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara from an Ultra ambush. Stephen understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John and Astrid, if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.
First aired: May 5, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like The Tomorrow People TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
What an ending! I need MORE!
It’s a great show.
Cancel some other show but keep this one going!!!
Yes! I agree with you!
I love this show! Please do not cancel it! All the good shows get cancelled don’t let this be one of them!
I think you should not cancel the show. It does not make sense to start it, and never end it. I loved it. I am crying right now.mplease, I beg you to not cancel it. This show could go to the best series of the world. Please.
they def need to renew this show. its smart tv actually. maybe they can think about this for a few new shows too, the founder cant be the only older guy who has powers think of all the ways plots and twist can happen
This show should not have been cancelled, it was a clever successful remake of a cult program. TV networks need to catch up with the times, your official viewing ratings may be down, but did you think to check streaming sites and downloads? SciFi shows watched by SciFi fans using up to date technology, doesn’t take a genius to work out
they cannot cancel the show, there is so many unanswered questions. it is a GREAT show. i so want to know what happens to john and astrid’s relationship……luv Jostrid.
really enjoyed this, why do they always end the good series and keep the boring ones
This show should stay!
why WHY the cancelled this show. I dont understand. i am really ungry and disappointed.
I think the show lost direction for a while, but wow, what a fabulous twist & ending. The cast is excellent, if they can product the show with consistently good writing, it ought to be renewed. There is no question why they dropped fans, and it will take a little work to convince them the show’s writing quality is better than ever, and it has turned into a great series. I believe Shield was suffering a similar fate, then really turned itself around, restoring fan’s interest and loyalty. The concept is good, the cast is good. Just insure the writing… Read more »
The tomorrow people was the best show and it is really sad that it is ended they where good actors and actress they are what made the story so great and I wish they could have had another season
I can’t believe they would cancel this show! I don’t understand what tv criteria is anymore! There is so much garbage programming, but when something good finally comes out they ax it. What do the viewers have to do to keep something good on the air?! I looked forward to this show every week and I hated the couple weeks when it wasn’t on during the season. I am crushed that they would cancel, and I hope they reconsider. Please please please do not cancel it!
Please do not cancel this the tomorrow people I really love this show
I swear they cancel all the good shows. I love this show with all my heart and I am going to lose a part of my soul I mean it. I rave about how wonderful this show is to all my friends. Please CW keep this one please. If you don’t I am done with you altogether.
