TV show description:
This dramatic series revolves around a generation of humans who have been born with paranormal abilities.
Up until a year ago, Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) was a regular teenager but one day, he began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep. He never knew where he might wake up. Now, Stephen’s issues have gone far beyond the usual teenage angst, and he’s beginning to question his sanity.
Out of desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List), and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — the Tomorrow People. They’re a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.
The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra. Led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino), Ultra sees the Tomorrow People as a very real existential threat from a rival species, and the outcast group has been forced to secretly live in an abandoned subway station just beneath the surface.
Trading in secrets, Jedikiah offers Stephen the chance for a normal life with his family and best friend, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock), but only if he will help in the struggle to isolate and eradicate the Tomorrow People.
On the other hand, Cara, John and Russell offer Stephen a different type of family and a home where he truly belongs.
Unwilling to turn his back on humanity or the world of the Tomorrow People, Stephen sets out on his own path — a journey that may take him into the shadowy past to uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance.
Episode #22 — “Son of Man”
Russell realizes his alliance with The Founder (guest star Simon Merrells) was a mistake, and tries to make up for his decision by saving Cara from an Ultra ambush. Stephen understands that he must be the one to stop The Machine and the extermination of humanity, but he fears he may be too late. Russell offers up a plan to help Stephen, but he is going to need everyone’s help, including John and Astrid, if they are going to have any chance to survive. Meanwhile, Jedikiah offers John an interesting opportunity that could have them working together again.
First aired: May 5, 2014.
What do you think? Do you like The Tomorrow People TV series? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This is a great show. Bring back the Tomorrow People PLEASE
I liked this series. Hopefully the CW will reconsider it’s cancellation.
the story was picking up steam, and we were left with several cliffhangers. I hope that the CW reconsiders and gives us a second season.
I can’t believe the CW cancelled the show especially with the promising en of season 1. Stupid.
FFS STUPID CW CANCELINNG THE SHOW OMG
Really bummed this show got canceled. Not happy!
Here thought. If new CW shows are coming this fall than move the shows “Tomorrow People” and Star-Crossed to Friday slots since it just sitting with nothing to do, right?
Nooooo they can’t cancel this, I really love this show!!!! 🙁
And I want to see what happens with John now he’s lost his memories :/
Of course your taking this show off. It’s a good show. Stop switching things so much and give the series a chance to thrive! You are going to make ppl so mad they quit watching you station. I don’t want to start watching a new show because if I like it, cw will take it off. I hope another station picks up the tomorrow ppl and star crossed!
I don’t think they should cancel it. I love it x #fav
I hope they still continue the tomorrow people series.
me too
i like it
i hope it going to be renew
The Tomorrow People is AWESOME! I haven’t faithfully watched a show on tv, since the early 2000. They have so much crap and reality tv on, but the good shows they want to cancel. KEEP THE TOMORROW PEOPLE. IT’S A GREAT SHOW!
I think the cw should keep the tommrow people because it’s is such an amazing tv show and I love this show I have see every episode I’m going to be really mad if they cancel this show.
This was one of the most intelligent and addictive shows on TV; quality is no longer valued by the executives and fewer great shows get made; they then wonder why ‘on demand’ is growing as TV dies a slow death. Content is King still.
