TV show description:
Detective Casey Shraeger (Amber Tamblyn) starts her day as an undercover hooker working for the NYPD vice department but is suddenly and unexpectedly transferred to the division’s homicide unit. The young officer finds herself thrust into a crazy world that’s full of dark humor, bodies, and bullets. Casey’s immediately partnered with Detective Jason Walsh (Jeremy Renner). Their first assignment together isn’t any easy one — find the killer of Walsh’s former partner.
As the pair seeks out the cop killer, Casey begins to realize that the force is full of secrets and that’s just fine considering she has a few of her own. It’s also a place where it helps to have a twisted sense of humor, since every day could be your last.
Partners Eric Delahoy (Adam Goldberg) and Leo Banks (Harold Perrineau) are polar opposites. Delahoy has a serious deathwish while Banks is so cautious that he refuses to remove his bulletproof vest.
Detective Eddie Alvarez (Kai Lennox) is a practical joke-playing social climber who has no problem stealing cases if they’ll get him some front-page coverage in the papers.
Meanwhile, Detective Henry Cole (Josh Close) is a religious guy who’s trying to keep his secret past from both his streetwise partner, Allison Beaumont (Monique Gabriela Curnen), and Sgt. Harvey Brown (Terry Kinney), who is struggling to rid the 2nd precinct of corruption.

unbeleivable everytime I give a show on a.b.c. another chance after canceling all these good shows. (life on mars,eli stone, invasion,sons and daughters,carpoolers…) loved these odd shows. thank god they are giving castle another shot. but after castle and lost end I am not giving abc another shot…. I never watch any show anymore when it is on. I DVR everything. This is ridiculous.
what’s with these networks, they really have to find a new way to measure ratings. the good shows get cancelled and the lame ones stay for seasons on end. shame we’re losing the unusuals, it is unusually good.
What a shame. This is the first cop shop I’ve actually come to look forward to every week. ABC is really loosing brain cells on this one.
I am also extremely upset about ABC cancelling this show. Is is very different from the 75 other cop/crime/forensic shows on TV because it has humor and shows insights into characters who are anything but perfect. I feel like the show didn’t get a fair shot because of being started mid-season. I know there were people still discovering this show, so it still could have had a chance at better ratings. This is a great show. I cannot believe all the bad shows that the networks decide to keep! Then they decide to cancel a great show, with great characters, which is well-written, witty and very entertaining. They didn’t give this show a chance. Everyone I know loves this show! I really have lost all patience with ABC.

I for one am very sad that this show is being cancelled. I JUST found out. *sad face* This is one of my new favorite shows (Fringe being the other one) and I SO look forward to watching the new episodes. I wish another network would pick up this show. *looks around hopefully*
I’ve liked this show more and more every time I watch it. The characters are great and different from every other cop show …. and it has some humor, which isn’t done enough these days. The writers deserve a round of applause. It would be a real shame to lose The Unusuals!
Cancelling this show would be a huge mistake. It’s nice to finally see a cop show with humor and not gore. Please give this show another season to prove itself.
I don’t spend much time on ABC and I really understand why. I had anticipated many years getting to know and eventually love the characters. You should fire the person responsible for programming. S/he is not a wise discerning visionary person.
This is a great show from the first episode its humor shone through.
I can not believe how many shows get renewed that are terrible, American Idol being the worst In my opinion.
I rarely write in about any show, but this one hooked me right away. I love the quirky characters. With all the junk on, I can’t believe they canceled this. They didn’t even give it a chance.

Before this show had its third episode it was already declared cancelled.
This is the show Joss Whedon fans should have been watching instead
of Castle and Dollhouse. Seriously. This was the recapturing of the chemistry
pathos and wit that they all were looking for and never got in chasing after
the gods of their idolatry. Well congrats. You got to keep two mediocre shows and
lost a great one. Very sad.
I love this show passionately. I watch it every week. Please reconsider ABC.

Well once again a show I enjoy watching on abc is being canceled. I didn’t watch anything on abc for yrs and now 2 shows I enjoyed watching on that network have been canceled in 1 yr. I guess it’s going to be several more yrs again before I watch anything on abc. They wonder why tv shows now have such low ratings, it’s because they cancel shows before they have time to get a fan base started. I hope they enjoy having no one enjoy the good shows will the brain deads enjoy the crap.
