Dr. Diarra Blue, Dr. Aubrey Ross and Dr. Michael Lavigne are back and busier than ever in an all new season of THE VET LIFE which premieres on Saturday, April 6th at 9 PM ET/PT.. This season, audiences continue to follow the daily lives of the passionate, lovable vets at their Cy-Fair animal hospital in Houston as they encounter fascinating animal cases each and every day. And the adventures grow this season as the doctors open a second animal clinic in the Houston area.
In previous seasons, the doctors have examined a feisty rescued tiger found roaming a neighborhood in Houston, removed a massive tumor from Red the Golden Retriever’s head and performed emergency C-Sections on multiple pregnant dogs. The dedicated vets jumped into action when Hurricane Harvey devastated their community by saving puppies found in the middle of floodwater, treating a family goat named Jetta on the brink of death, and operating on Jasper the cat about to lose his leg – all while dealing with family and staff that suffered from the storm and lost their homes.
This season stories include: Dr. Blue and Dr. Lavinge visiting a pig rescue and competing for the title of superior pig whisperer; encounters with Pablo the ‘snarting’ goat and Dr. Ross treating an albino ferret named Alexander with adrenal disease. Additionally, the vets will test the health of an owner’s pet Fennec Fox named Rocket and Kinkajou named Baloo, will treat Aubie a sweet Kunekune Piglet rescued from a fraternity house, and more.
With a thriving clinic, their personal lives are booming too. Dr. Blue and his wife Jessica prepare for the arrival of their third child, Dr. Ross and wife Tauvia introduce their new baby girl, while Dr. Lavinge and his wife Anne settle into their new home and prepare for “Empty Nest Syndrome” just a few years away.
THE VET LIFE is produced for Animal Planet by Glass Entertainment Group with Argle Bargle Films. For Glass Entertainment Group, Nancy Glass is the executive producer. For Argle Bargle Films, Shannon Biggs and Jairus Cobb are executive producers. For Animal Planet, Keith Hoffman is executive producer and Sarah Russell is supervising producer.”
What do you think? Have you seen The Vet Life? Do you plan on watching the new season?
I love this show! I love the interaction of the 3 Doctors. Thank you for renewing it. Yes, I will definitely be watching it- already have it set to record so I don’t miss an episode.
I love this show. It’s one of Animal Planet’s best shows. It’s not on enough, and the schedule is haphazard. Please put it on a regular schedule.
We so enjoy watching the show.
This show is my favorite on Animal Planet. I’ve learned so much and enjoy the interaction between the doctors and their families. I hope it will continue for a long time to come!
My husband and me both live the show. It would be wrong to cancel it
I think it one of the most down to earth show I have seen in in a lo ng time I hope you don’t cancel it I would be so disappointed.
I always enjoy watching the show. I take my pets to Cy-Fair Animal Hospital. The staff and vets treat my animals (and me) very well. All 3 – Drs. Blue, Ross, and Lavigne – have complementary personalities that engender a cooperative, fun-loving environment. The Vet Life is, in my opinion, more fun and interesting than other similar shows. I like seeing all the different kinds of animals they treat. I love animals; The Vet Life is my favorite Animal Planet show. Oh, it’s also great seeing the Drs’ families. They all seem like super nice people.
I love this show. All the vets have great personalities and have lovely families. It would be nice if it was earlier in the evening.
I have watched since the first show. The fact that it is educational, entertaining and family oriented is raw in this time of TV world. I sincerely hope that it will be back next season.
This is the best show on television. It teaches family values, something rarely shown on TV.
I was an educator prior to retiring. I would have given anything to have had my students meet such admirable men. I would make sure they told my students they could accomplish anything with hard work, honor ,and integrity. I would love the opportunity to tell them this.
Sincerely,
Valerie

Teresa, my dogs have been treated exceptionally well by Drs Blue and Ross, and another vet in the clinic (think her name is Dr Kath? Not sure of the spelling. She was amazingly caring, as are all the staff). We haven’t had the pleasure of working with Dr Lavigne yet. Everyone there is thorough and efficient. Another plus, they treat each other with kindness and respect.
