It’s not looking good for season two of The Whispers. The ABC TV show has been dropping in the ratings and now, the network has let the cast’s options expire.
On The Whispers, several Washington, DC children start talking about and playing with an imaginary friend. When their mysterious games turn dangerous, FBI child specialist Claire Bennigan (Lily Rabe) is called in to investigate. The rest of the cast includes Barry Sloane, Milo Ventimiglia, Derek Webster, Kristen Connolly, Kylie Rogers, and Kyle Harrison Breitkopf.
Word is that the cast’s contract options for a second season expired at the end of June. According to Deadline, ABC hasn’t given up on The Whispers just yet however and want more time to make a decision.
The network tried to get a two-week extension but that didn’t happen — in part because of series star Lily Rabe. She and other members of the cast weren’t happy that, after the pilot was shot last May, shooting of the series was relocated to Vancouver.
Shooting in Los Angeles would be too expensive for the low-rated drama so producers have a plan for Rabe to do a limited number of episodes if the series ends up being renewed.
If The Whispers is picked up for a second season, new contracts will have to be negotiated — providing the castmembers want to return or aren’t already committed to other projects. Ventimiglia is being eyed for the lead role in a pilot for USA Network called Shooter.

My whole family loved and watched the show The Whisperers every week. Five households losing a favorite show. I recorded it to keep from missing. Please bring it back.

As personagens principais deviam continuar, nao faz sentido porem outras no logar de Claire Bennigan (Lily Rabe),Milo Ventimiglia (Sean Bennigan)….. As personagens principal nunca se muda, nao fazeria sentido algum, muadava o entre-se…. De todas as seriesque ja vi esta foi a que gostei mais

This is such a good show! They always seem to cancel the shows I love to watch. I guess it’s hard to keep a show on these days!

Please don’t cancel. it seems like all of the shows that I really enjoyed are being cancelled, like Whispers, Chicago Fire, and what happened to Resurrection. I hope Extant doesn’t get cancelled too.

Please don’t cancel this show I actually really enjoy it and hate when a show leaves you not knowing what will happen. But if you do make a season two I would really like the characters to stay the same. I hate when they get changed.
