Though the cast and crew of The Whole Truth will get to finish filming their 13 episode commitment, there’s no guarantee viewers will get to see them any time soon. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the show had been cancelled by ABC. Now, it looks like the network is pulling the legal drama from the schedule for the whole month of November.
As previously announced, next week’s episode will be preempted by the interview special In the Spotlight With Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville. The following week, the entire Wednesday night line-up is bumped for the Country Music Awards.
After that, Whole Truth is being replaced by a pair of celebrity specials. On November 17th, ABC will air 25 Years of Sexy: People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive!. The following week, Primetime: Celebrity Plastic Surgery Gone Too Far? will take the timeslot.
It’s unknown if The Whole Truth will return in December or if ABC will keep the remaining nine episodes sitting on the shelf.
What do you think? Will ABC air the rest of the The Whole Truth episodes soon, over the summer, or never?

Please don’t cancel, this program is unique and leaves one thinking.
Can’t believe ABC cancelled this great show. The show had great plot lines, great actors, and always something different. Probably quit showing the shows because of the Public Defender’s Office is full of ways to WIN any way possible. Justice is not blind, it’s Dog eat Dog world.
I’m so sick of networks cutting short thought proking series only to replace them mind numbing reality shows or celebrity specials. This is one of the only legal dramas that shows the actual truth in the end. I loved that aspect of it. The acting was phenomenal and the writing was both suspenseful and humorous. ABC made another mistake.
As usual, they present an intelligent, well-written and well-acted show and after we’re invested in it they pull it without giving it a chance. I’ve had it with investing my time into anymore new shows. Instead I’ll just keep watching the new and reruns of all the Law & Order shows from all over the continent and just hope that both Rob Morrow and Maura Tierney get picked up immediately for roles in established series so we don’t lose out on getting to see fantastic acting no matter what roles they play. And to the ABC execs: Do you guys… Read more »
This is one of the best shows on TV – Please bring it back!!!!
I think it’s a big mistake to cancel this program… I have grown attached to the characters and enjoy looking at both sides of the individual cases. ABC should at the very least finish airing the episodes already filmed just as a jesture to the viewers. ABC has some of the best programing of all the major networks and in my view this was a good one!!!
I love this show!!!!!!! My friends and I would all hang out on weds and watch it together. Maybe TNT will pick it up???!!!
Of course ABC thinks a mindless show like “Dancing with the ‘ Stars'” is great and they cancell the best new show of the season! No accounting for executive blindness!
I was hooked on this show by the first episode, abc is totally wrong to take good t.v. off the air.
I can’t believe the good shows are canceled, this was so entertaining, unbelievable.
Despite the LA setting vice NY, a very enjoyable show — like both leads and “personas”. glad all 13 episodes will be filmed. Knock it off ABC, stay with good starters at least for a first run!!!
Loved this show. Maura Tierney and Rob Morrow were great. Liked the idea of showing the outcome at the end of show. Too bad the networks really don’t give shows a chance as it is really hard to judge a show by a few episodes. The networks need to give a new series a chance by at least airing a full season. I stopped watching NBC for this very reason and will probably do the same with ABC. They did the same thing to “The Forgotten” which was a good show. I really don’t enjoy reality shows and the like.
Very disappointed that this show has been cancelled, I looked forward to it starting and have looked forward to it every week. Don’t know why so many good shows get cancelled so early on. Not very happpy!! I love Maura Tierney, I think she is a great actress!
Please don’t cancel. I love this show
I was so glad to see an intelligent TV Series. The writing and acting was thought provoking and entertaining. For some reason, the producers seem to think that they have to dumb down society. I guess this show was too intelligent to watch.
Thank You, Thank You, THANK YOU!!!!!!
Give us The Whole Truth – bring back decent writing and fresh filming!!!
