It’s crunch time for Timeless and Blindspot. Deadline reports both series will be meeting about new seasons with NBC soon.
Blindspot, which stars Jaimie Alexander and Sullivan Stapleton, will return on March 22nd. Ratings for the thriller drama have declined significantly since season one. Season two has earned an average rating of 1.10 in the 18-49 demo with 5.205 million viewers. For comparison, season one averaged a 1.83 rating in the 18-49 demo and a total of 6.92 million viewers.
Meanwhile, Timeless has problems beyond low ratings. The freshman series is currently the subject of an ongoing copyright lawsuit between NBC and the Spanish media company Onza Entertainment.
When asked about the time travel drama, NBC chief Jennifer Salke said the network loves the show:
We love Timeless. It’s a great performer. I thought it could benefit from an earlier timeslot but we have Blindspot earlier so there’s just going to be some decisions based on the pilots — and there’s not that many pilots.”
According to Deadline, the creators of both Timeless and Blindspot will meet about new seasons with NBC next week.
Update: Timeless co-creator Shawn Ryan has tweeted that they’ll be pitching to NBC on April 2nd.

I also watch both Timeless and Blindspot. I also love both shows and hope both are renewed. It would disappoint if Blindspot was cancelled, but it would be heartbreaking if Timeless was cancelled. The cast are fantastic and the writers are artists. Please renew!
I watch both Timeless and Blindspot. I hope they renew them both but I’ll if I had to choose my fave I’d pick Timeless. I think the acting of the entire cast is really excellent and the scripts are usually pretty entertaining too. Sometimes when I watch this show I am kinda in awe that the actors manage to ‘sell it’ to us, the audience, week after week without the aid of much in the way of visual effects. Love the show Timeless. The hubs and I have watched every episode. Please renew it for another season. It is well done and fun to watch.

My favorite new show. Love the history, characters and time travel always my fav. Please renew. Didn’t ‘ see the final twist coming and I had guessed the other twists. Love the challenge . Really excited for new season.
NBC would do well to renew this obvious favorite brainchild of Kripke and Ryan who truly LOVE the stories they’re weaving from real history. As well as the ensemble cast crushing it in their roles. If NBC can’t pull the trigger on a S2 renewal, then at least let it roll over to the CW and let them take over the storyline. It’s not fantastic, but delivers pretty much what you’d expect, and the characters play off of each other well. Despite not being very impressed, I found myself watching it anyway. Not brainy, but not a time-waster, either. Could get better if they don’t try to muck it up with more double-crosses, like most time shows do.

Please renew Timeless. It is so educational and interesting and entertaining. Love it and so does my husband. Never saw Blindspot.
Cancel Blindspot as the frenetic, constant camera-shaking, nauseating way that the show is filmed makes it impossible to watch.

Timeless!!! Keep it going. We’ve looked up many of the shows history facts. The episode with the NASA space team and the women who did the math!! “Hidden Figures” comes out right after it airs. Al Capone and Elliot Ness episode. Looked up to see how Al Capone really died. Great way to learn history. I agree the butterfly effect would be a plus but it appears Jiya is going to be a real time traveler next?? Keep it PLEASE!!!
