What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC action adventure drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit. Season two picks up right after the events of last season and follows Rufus (Barrett), Wyatt (Lanter), and Lucy (Spencer) on their quest to prevent the destruction of our world as we know it. This season they’ll find an unlikely ally in their mission to destroy Rittenhouse, a deadly organization Lucy’s family has been a part of, for centuries. As they try not to change the past, they will visit 1692, 1917, 1941, 1981 and more, and encounter Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, William Randolph Hearst, and other influential historical figures.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Timeless averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.64 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 45% and 43%, respectively. Find out how Timeless stacks up against other NBC TV shows.
Timeless has been cancelled. There will be no season three, but NBC has ordered a two-part Timeless finale movie which will air December 20, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew Timeless for season three? It’s in a tougher timeslot and the ratings have really suffered. I suspect that Timeless will be cancelled and won’t return for a third season unless there’s some reason that makes this show very cheap to produce. Season two benefited from tax incentives but I don’t think season three would have the same break. For now, I’ll update this page with breaking developments. There is no question that this show should be renewed, it’s too amazing not to! In fact this show should be renewed for at least another 4 seasons as a start.

I would be very sad…I have tuned in live weekly since day 1!!!
DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!! The story lines are interesting and rather inventive and the actors are great. I love the diverse cast. Please consider putting it on on Friday of Saturday nights if Sunday’s other programming is killing it. NBC isn’t doing much programming on Friday nights anyway.
Please don’t cancel timeless it is a great show I love the history I check every episode and 99% correct only a few changes to make it interesting good job NBC
Timeless is one of our favorite shows. Our family (Ma, PA, and 2 finished college age sons) enjoy the plots and attention to details. It is one of the few “family friendly” shows I know of on TV these days and the science / history parts make for some great family discussions. PLEASE renew Timeless for a 3rd season (and hopefully many more after that).
Adding my encouragement to renew Timeless. We watch very little modern TV, but Timeless is one that makes the cut – our favorite one at that. Our whole family loves it.

Please renew Timeless for a third season!! It’s one of the few shows I watch with my 11 and 13 year old sons. We love the history aspect and the adventure. The cast is awesome. Please give it a third season!
Speaking for everybody overseas, who can’t impact the numbers, as we can’t watch the show directly in any way, there are tons of us who LOVE Timeless and can’t wait for the next episode. Please, don’t cancel the show! It’s one of the very few original and positive shows on TV right now. It’s so much fun, realizes so many dreams of timetraveling, brings hope and reminds us all that only by knowing our history and working together, we’ll be able to create a better future for our chidlren.
