What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC action adventure drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit. Season two picks up right after the events of last season and follows Rufus (Barrett), Wyatt (Lanter), and Lucy (Spencer) on their quest to prevent the destruction of our world as we know it. This season they’ll find an unlikely ally in their mission to destroy Rittenhouse, a deadly organization Lucy’s family has been a part of, for centuries. As they try not to change the past, they will visit 1692, 1917, 1941, 1981 and more, and encounter Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, William Randolph Hearst, and other influential historical figures.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Timeless averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.64 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 45% and 43%, respectively. Find out how Timeless stacks up against other NBC TV shows.
Timeless has been cancelled. There will be no season three, but NBC has ordered a two-part Timeless finale movie which will air December 20, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew Timeless for season three? It’s in a tougher timeslot and the ratings have really suffered. I suspect that Timeless will be cancelled and won’t return for a third season unless there’s some reason that makes this show very cheap to produce. Season two benefited from tax incentives but I don’t think season three would have the same break. For now, I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Timeless NEEDS TO BE RENEWED!! This superb show is a breath of fresh air. With such busy schedules and technology not every fan watches their favorite shows live anymore.

They cannot make a decision to renew this based on ratings alone. If they do, it doesn’t stand a chance! The Nielsen system in this day and age is severely flawed. I’m 63 and I don’t fit into the “18-49” “Demo group”. I still watch the same “Types” of programming I did when I was in my 20’s. Baby Boomers still belong to the “18-49” group!!! PLEASE renew for Season Three! It’s my favorite show on tv AND there are too many loose ends and unanswered questions.
Would think that a show that bashes white males…especially southerners… would guarantee a third season.
What? One of the main leads is a white male from Texas?? Also, if you’re identifying with confederates, you should examine your life choices, son.
You must renew Timeless for a third season. It is one of the best new innovative shows on TV and the only one I look forward to watching.
Please do not cancel Timeless if Rufus murdered by Emma. Please renew season 3, not when Rufus can be saved.
