What’s This TV Show About?
An NBC action adventure drama, Timeless stars Abigail Spencer, Matt Lanter, Malcolm Barrett, Goran Višnjić, Paterson Joseph, Sakina Jaffrey, and Claudia Doumit. Season two picks up right after the events of last season and follows Rufus (Barrett), Wyatt (Lanter), and Lucy (Spencer) on their quest to prevent the destruction of our world as we know it. This season they’ll find an unlikely ally in their mission to destroy Rittenhouse, a deadly organization Lucy’s family has been a part of, for centuries. As they try not to change the past, they will visit 1692, 1917, 1941, 1981 and more, and encounter Marie Curie, Hedy Lamarr, William Randolph Hearst, and other influential historical figures.
Season Two Ratings
The second season of Timeless averaged a 0.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.64 million viewers. Compared to season one, that’s down by 45% and 43%, respectively. Find out how Timeless stacks up against other NBC TV shows.
Timeless has been cancelled. There will be no season three, but NBC has ordered a two-part Timeless finale movie which will air December 20, 2018. Stay tuned for further updates.
Telly’s Take
Will NBC cancel or renew Timeless for season three? It’s in a tougher timeslot and the ratings have really suffered. I suspect that Timeless will be cancelled and won’t return for a third season unless there’s some reason that makes this show very cheap to produce. Season two benefited from tax incentives but I don’t think season three would have the same break. For now, I’ll update this page with breaking developments. Please renew Timeless for more seasons. At the very least do season 3 to wrap up it up and answer all our questions! Although, I would of course LOVE several more seasons!
I don’t know how you guys rate how well a show is doing, and if the fact that people are cutting out cable is a factor. I watch it on Hulu. Sometimes wait a. Couple episodes so i can binge watch.
It is a great show with a great storyline, and terrific actors!

Timeless has a superb cast and scripts. It also teaches about history. It’s ratings would improve with an earlier time block. Bring it back for season 4!
Timeless absolutely should be renewed. It’s a fascinating, educational and compelling show with a great cast. Ratings don’t tell the whole story, folks. Just because some people haven’t discovered a show yet does not mean the show isn’t excellent. Are you paying attention, NBC? Come on, renew this outstanding show. It will pay off in dividends down the road, when more people discover this ultra cool show!
Please renew Timeless. This is the first decent sci-fi series for NBC since SeaQuest was cancelled.
