TNT has had both great successes and big disappointments when it comes to their original scripted shows. Which of the current crop will be cancelled or renewed for another season? Stay tuned!
Scripted TNT shows listed: Agent X, The Alienist, Animal Kingdom, Claws, Dallas, Falling Skies, Franklin & Bash, Good Behavior, I Am the Night, The Last Ship, The Lazarus Project, Legends, The Librarians, Major Crimes, Murder in the First, Perception, Proof, Public Morals, Rizzoli & Isles, Snowpiercer, Transporter: The Series, and Will.
Last updated: Most recent ratings added for The Lazarus Project.
There’s lots of data that TNT execs look at when deciding whether to renew or cancel a TV series but ratings are the major ingredient. Here’s an updated listing of all of their recent/current primetime scripted shows.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated charts, please try reloading the page. You can also view them here and here.
A couple of notes about these charts:
These figures are updated automatically as new ratings are released (usually a day or so after the broadcasts). The averages are based on the final national numbers (live plus same day viewing). For technical reasons, I have to resort them manually so feel free to let me know if I missed something.
The demo numbers, which are typically most important to the broadcast networks, aren’t quite as vital to cable channels because their audiences are usually much smaller. Demo numbers are typically reported using the 10ths decimal place (2.4, for example). In the averages, I’m using an extra decimal for easier ranking.
What do you think? Are you surprised by any of the ratings? Which shows should be doing better? Which one do you think will be cancelled next?
there is so little good programming anymore and it appears what is good the execs in charge want to cancel.. SAVE THE FOLLOWING: THE LIBRARIANS, THE LAST SHIP AND ORDER MORE EPISODES..MAJOR CRIMES AND CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT, RIZZOLI AND ISLES, AND PERCEPTION..THESE ARE WORTH WATCHING THEY ACTUALLY HAVE A STORY TO TELL WHICH 90% OF OTHERS DO NOT..
#SaveDallas TNT CAN **** OFF
I love the last ship and I think season 3 has really picked it up after the first couple of episodes. The minefield and the last episode are probably 2 of there best. The person that quit on it after the first episode this season should go back to it. I hope it gets renewed
I watched the 1st episode of The Last Ship this season and quit. That had been my favorite show on TV. Killing off Dr. Scott and getting rid of Tex took the heart out of the show. Now it’s nothing but mindless action scenes that are pointless. Almost all of the Chinese should be dead from the virus since they live so close together. The focus on China was a huge miss. I doubt that many of the shows viewers care about China. This show used to be character driven and now it’s pointless plot driven and putting characters that… Read more »
Animal Kingdom is a no good show. Get rid of it.
Public morals in my opinion was THE BEST SHOW ON YOUR NETWORK!!!! YOUR DEMOGRAPHIC 18-49 IS LUDICROUS. THIS SHOW IS SOMETHING PEOPLE MY AGE IDENTIFY WITH. Who under 60 yrs of age would understand it. Very disappointed. The major networks are a “reality” disappointment for sure. I think your management dropt the ball on this one. How could keep the last ship and dump morals? I watched ship once and deleted the series
I am in your demographic and disagree – love love The Last Ship and couldn’t get through one single episode of Public Morals.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE, Animal Kingdom!
rizzoli and isles has been better somewat but but castle has been dead for a long time waiting for major crimes to come to the uk and murder in the first b4 i make my mind up about them
They have to also bring back “The Transporter”……..
This is for James C, You have to change the drugs you’re taking – Castle was not a Brother & Sister Mystery show….It was a good cop show….
This is a must-read: The Last Ship Season 3 is a Mess Season 2 of The Last Ship was some of the most entertaining television I’ve ever seen. Like any action drama, it wasn’t always believably realistic, but it had an undeniable pull and momentum from start to finish that just kept building and building on itself. I was overjoyed when it got renewed for a third season and also super nervous because of the way it ended. Spoilers from here on out for the end of season 2 and the first four episodes of season 3. So season 2… Read more »
Dang, no way would i ever read a post that long HOWEVER I do hope they keep Last Ship through at least one more season – Season 4 and end it with a stable but primitive government in place to show America recovering – don’t just leave us hanging!!!
Bring back Dr. Scott on “The Last Ship” and I guarantee ratings will go up. Or at least provide some closure! If you follow, stalk, tune in, or whatever to the FB page or even the fan group page you will see no one is happy with what the writers have done with her character and have agreed this season is lacking personal perspective and storylines. Major disappointment with the fans. Just saying.
I stopped watching once I saw that Scott had been killed. What’s the point? It went from an exciting save-the-world sort of post-apocalyptic setting to having too much politics and boring land-locked plots. And now without Scott, whose chemistry and potential with Chandler I looked forward to each episode.
without dr scott and tex i think the last ship should be cancelled i’m not watching the 3rd saison any way killing off dr scott was a big mistake this show lost its soul , it’s just about explosions now, nothing more, it became a “melitary show”
Tex is coming back but things are grim for DrScott
Please renew the Last Ship for a 4th season! It’s my favorite show! Please don’t cancel!
Was this chart updated to show the massive drop in R&I Viewers and uptick in MC viewers for the 6/27 show? Zap2it showed the Neilsen numbers which floored me for R&I. Also, James Duff announced winning the night. I noticed that Spoilertv had it incorrect, as well.
