Some things never change and that’s certainly true of the fighting between Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse. The pair have been at it since 1940 and aren’t likely to quit any time soon.
The comedic rivalry was created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for MGM. The two wrote and directed one hundred and fourteen Tom and Jerry shorts between 1940 and 1958 and the cat and mouse duo have been recognized by Time as one of the most enduring and well known rivalries of all time.
The recently released Deluxe Collection features 30 cartoons, including seven Academy Award winners. The two-disc set also contains a few animated adventures from later TV shows like The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show, The Tom and Jerry Show, Tom and Jerry Tales, and Tom and Jerry Kids.
You can purchase Tom & Jerry: Deluxe Anniversary Collection (2pc) for $25.99 from Amazon. You can also try to win a copy here.
