FOX is sticking with Top 30. Deadline reports the syndicated TV series has been renewed through 2019 on FOX Television Stations.
The half-hour daily news program chronicles the top 30 news stories of the day. The pick up comes after a four-week test run conducted this past summer.
From FOX TV Stations EVP of Programming and Development Stephen Brown:
This show is perfect for the stations that don’t have a national news voice. The bite-sized segments with lower third graphics play well on air and on our affiliates’ digital platforms. Give us 30 minutes, and we’ll get you up to date with everything you need to know each day. That’s our promise.”
What do you think? Have you seen Top 30? Are you glad it’s been picked up through 2019?
I like the show, but I haven’t seen it on any of the month of February on KDFI. Can anyone tell me what station or outlet it’s being shown on now. ?
I love this show Top 30 I enjoy seeing Kristin Smith since she left MyFox10Phoenix some years ago…
Yes the show is great
I think this show is great. Plain and simple…
12-1 Yet again, to the guy with the English accent hosting Top 30… today’s mispronounced words were “perigee” and the second term about our moon. It’s pronounced PE-ri-gee as in “GEE WHIZ, can’t you pronounce anything correctly?” It’s not pronounced like the hard G in “goofy.” It’s PE-ri-jee! It’s GEE as in “jelly,” not GEE as in “ghastly.” It’s becoming my daily ritual to see which word you’ll mispronounce each day. I know Fox just slaps together a show haphazardly without consideration of literacy or accuracy, but c’mon… ask someone literate how to pronounce polysyllabic words before you go on… Read more »
To the guy hosting Top 30, with the English accent: this is the second time I’ve felt the need to correct your illiteracy in two weeks. You can’t seem to pronounce anything complicated or unusual or polysyllabic, or scientific… This time, two survivors of the Holocaust were reunited, and you mispronounced Yad Vashem as “Yad VA-Shem.” It’s pronounced “Yad Va-SHEM.” Note the accent on the second syllable. It seems your show just slaps together features quickly every day, carelessly, and your hosts are not the most literate in the world. But the English guy… he’s really bad, he can’t read… Read more »
