Another one bites the dust. Deadline reports Syfy has cancelled plans for their Tremors TV show.
As reported earlier, the network was developing a new TV series based on the 1990 film Tremors. The pilot, which was produced, “revisits the town of Perfection 25 years later as the graboids have returned, and the town’s only hope for survival is Valentine McKee (Kevin Bacon), who beat them once. But to do it again he’ll have to overcome age, alcohol and a delusional hero complex.”
On social media, Bacon confirmed Syfy has decided not to move forward with a Tremors series:
What do you think? Are you a fan of the Tremors movies? Would you have watched Syfy’s TV show?
I would have watched this series. I miss Tremors in any shape or form. I enjoy the movies and would have enjoyed the series.
I’d have given it a couple hours of watch time, at least, out of respect for the quality of Kevin’s other work. But probably not a great loss….
I’m no diehard fan of the Tremors movies (only saw the first) but even I was intrigued by Kevin Bacon being involved. That stinks.
Stinks that it was scrapped, whoever downvoted this.
