Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

I love, love, love, love this show and couldn’t wait to watch what comes next. So, please do not cancel this show.
I really would like to see Twisted continued. Even though the rating are low right now, everyone who does watch it thuroughly enjoys it. Maybe more advertising would improve views by a ton. Or have someone guest star in Pretty Little Liars to make it bigger.
Renew it! I got my mom and even dad to start watching it. I will be sooo devastated if you cancel it! We didn’t realize last week was the season finally, and we rushed home waiting to watch it, and could not find it. I am very sad! Pleeeeeease renew it! Thank you!
You can’t cancel Twisted,,,, there are many that love this show and can’t wait till the next episode and now we read it may get cancled—what!!! If Twisted gets cancled,,,, we are left hanging…. If you cancel Twisted and reading of other TV shows you’ve canceled leaving everyone hanging then I will NOT watch any of your shows ever again and I will spread the word to everyone I know… please,,,, we want a 2nd season

Maybe if you stopped canceling shows after leaving such huge cliff hangers then maybe people would actually watch your shows. You’ve cancelled way too many ending in a cliff hanger. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m worried to watch any of your shows out of fear that I will really get into them then be disappointed when they get cancelled and I’m left with no wrap-up!
I agree. I am so tired of them canceling so many shows and not not completing them where at least you can purchase them to see the ending. It is just sad and not worth the time of even watching the network.

Twisted should be renewed. I would like to see more. I think they should give it another chance!! And plus everyone whats to see more of Jo and Danny and their relationship! I really hope this show gets renewed and plus all of the actors are really good and im tired of abcfamily cancelling all these good shows! Kyle XY, Nine Lives of Chloe King, Jane by Design, The Lying Game (idk why they cancelled that, big mistake), Bunheads and Ravenwoods. I want to see more of Twisted.

Twisted should get renewed for a 2nd season because I was so hooked on it I was also hooked on pretty little layers I never missed a single episode of it the same thing comes down to twisted its right now getting devious. plus I don’t want to miss out on anything. I Love Danny Desai. I was also hooked on Ravenswood when is that coming back on.

I agree they shouldn’t cancel a show that had a ending like season 1 if they don’t want to renew for a long season give us a short season of 10 episodes so we can at least see what really happened at the end of S1 I don’t know what people want to see it is much better than the fosters I cant comment of the donations thing because we don’t have anything like that in Australia you have some great shows on your t.v. and I download a lot of them and I would say twisted is definitely on… Read more »
