Last year, ABC Family introduced three new dramas — Twisted, Ravenswood, and The Fosters. Ravenswood (a Pretty Little Liars spin-off) has been cancelled while The Fosters has been renewed. What will become of Twisted?
Airing on Tuesday nights, Twisted is a mystery/thriller series that revolves around 17 year old Danny Desai (Avan Jogia). Six years ago, he was charged with killing his aunt and he ended up spending five years in juvenile detention. Now, he’s been released and has returned to his small hometown in New York. As he tries to resume his life, a classmate is killed and Danny becomes a key suspect. The cast also includes Madelaine Hasson, Kylie Bunbury, Ashton Moio, Kimberly Quinn, Denise Richards, and Sam Robards.
The pilot episode aired as a special preview in March 2013 and drew 1.19 million viewers. It wasn’t a great start but the ratings picked up when the regular season started in June. They quickly fell again but ABC Family ordered 10 additional episodes of Twisted anyway. That decision may have been influenced by the fact that they had recently cancelled Bunheads and The Lying Game.
When the second half of the season kicked off in February and viewership nearly hit a new low, despite the fact that it had popular Pretty Little Liars as a lead-in. Last week, when Twisted no longer had that strong lead-in, viewership hit an all-time low with just 726,000 viewers.
The second half of the season averaged 1.11 million viewers. Ravenswood was cancelled with higher viewership. Based on these numbers, it’s looking unlikely that ABC Family will order a second season of Twisted.

A lot of people are recording these shows and not watching them live. That is what I do. I know recently they’ve been asking us to “watch live” but people are busy, so they tape it and watch it when they have the time. I am not sure if they can count the viewers who are taping it, but they should look into that so they can see how many people really watch the show. Twisted is an awesome show!! So if this true then abc family and the cw network are forced to go to their on sites and keep track on what shows the people are watching on their site and only then the raitings will get higher
Networks don’t care about people watching tv on their sites and inculding netflix and other stuff too they only care about people watching the shows on live on the abc family and the cw network but people can’t be able to watch it on live then it will be canceled for good they’re a chance of twisted beening canceled

i think that Twisted should be renewed.. i juz started watching the show but i absolutely love it.. i want it to go on.. Eventhough i have only juz watched the seventh episode but i don’t want the show to be cancelled because to me the is awesome and definitely twisted..

Our family is done with your shows. You cancelled Ravenswood without a proper ending. Now Twisted. We now record new series. If they are not renewed. We delete them without watching. That means we don’t see the commercials either.
I absolutely LOVED this TV show!! It was suspenseful, it always kept my interest and Jo and Danny just barley started to hit it off. You can’t cancel it now!! I NEED SEASON 2!!

Seriously such a great show! And we at least deserve a few more episodes after a crazy finale like that! Although Lying Game had a crazy finale and was great, but that didn’t get renewed. Don’t disappoint us ABC family, give it another season. Conclude a show for once! I love Pretty Little Liars, but that’s going on forever. Give other shows a longer chance.

Seriously, they better make a second season. First it was the lying game, which was an awesome show, now this!! I love this show, me and my sis saw the last episode and I got to say it was really twisted how it all ended with charlie being Jo half brother and all. Got me hanging on the edge of my seat.
