NBC has broken up with Undateable. Variety reports the network has cancelled the comedy after three seasons.
The sitcom starred Chris D’Elia, Bridgit Mendler, Brent Morin, Bianca Kajlich, Rick Glassman, David Fynn, and Ron Funches as a group of friends struggling with relationships.
Season three, which ended in January, comprised all live episodes. However, even with the popularity of the live shows, the season only received modest ratings, earning an average of 0.78 in the 18-49 demo and 2.746 million viewers.
Though NBC has not officially announced the series’ cancellation, the cast and crew were reportedly notified last week.
4/29 update: The executive producers say the series has not been cancelled.
What do you think? Did you watch Undateable? Do you think the show should continue somewhere else for a fourth season?
You need to put the show back on TV ,One of the best comedies on television ,you keep crap and get rid of the best shows that you’ve ever put on .Viewership was great like Cougar Town if you don’t want it another station should pick it up, NBC is crazy.
lol its true
My entite family favorite tv show. So sad it is gone
Completely insane. This show was funny and outstanding. One of the best comedies I have seen in years and one of the first live comedies ever. This is insane that they cancelled this rare and great show.
Undateable is one of my favorite TV shows. Everytime I get into a show and watch every episode faithfully it gets canceled. Just like the TV show Ground Floor. Another great TV show with a great cast that got canceled. I am really upset to read about Undateable now being canceled. There are very few good sitcoms anymore. Television has been flooded with reality TV for years. Finally some television networks have started to veer away from reality television and bring back sitcoms. It is just a shame that the networks are so quick to cancel them. I truly hope… Read more »
NBC should reconsider this decision. I watched this show and enjoyed the uniqueness of the live format and talented stars and guests. Bridgit Mendler’s addition had a huge positive impact. She has future movie star written all over her.
Noooo!!! This was my favorite comedy! I don’t know how anybody could watch and not laugh out loud! I will really miss it!!
