WGN America is tackling a critical moment in history. Today, the network released new previews of Underground, their upcoming original series about the Underground Railroad.
The 10-episode series premieres on March 9th.
From creators Misha Green and Joe Pokaski, the historical series stars Aldis Hodge as Noah, a blacksmith who organizes an escape north with some of his fellow slaves. True Blood‘s Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Christopher Meloni, Alano Miller, and Marc Blucas also star.

What do you think? Will you watch the premiere of Underground?
I think all historical dramas are worth a watch, ie: Reign. If they stray too far off the path & totally stray from the course of history, then some people will naturally fall away. Reign has totally departed from history, yet remains popular among a certain demographic. I say “Good Luck, Underground!”
