Sadly, the Visitors aren’t among us any longer. After two short seasons, ABC has cancelled their V TV series.
A reimagining of the original V, this series tells the tale of what happens when an advanced alien race arrives of Earth professing their desire to help mankind. Fortunately, not everyone trusts them. The second season features the talents of Charles Mesure, Elizabeth Mitchell as Erica Evans, Joel Gretsch, Laura Vandervoort, Logan Huffman, Morena Baccarin, Morris Chestnut, and Scott Wolf.
For season one, V ended up averaging a 2.25 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic and 5.7 million average viewers. It was “on the bubble” but ended up being renewed for a 13 episode second season. The network was hoping that the show would catch on and the ratings would improve.

ABC later reduced the episode order to just 10 installments and debuted them mid-season. Unfortunately, ABC’s gamble didn’t pay off. Season two of V ended up averaging only a 1.9 in the demo and 5.49 million viewers.
Though the network and producers maintained that the show was still in contention for next season, it was clear that there would only be a third season of V if ABC was willing to gamble once again. In the end, they weren’t.
ABC confirmed today that V has been cancelled after two seasons and 22 episodes. The series finale aired on March 15th and, unfortunately, there were lots of unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will someday share what they had in mind for season three.

ABC cancelled a show that left a lot of loose ends,and knowing that ABC was going to cancel the show they should have given another season of the show or had a made for TV movie for the series finale,but no they didn’t.
All ABC cares about is their sleaze reality shows,the Bachelor and the Bachelorette which can be racy at times.

sponser a new amazing show you say? great. cancel said show because it cant produce 10x the ratings for a fraction of the budget as reality tv you say? smart business you say?

seriously only two seasons of what was a show full of amazing writing and special effects and the person that played Anna was just fantastic the perfect blend of creepy,sexy, mature, and cunning.
I actually liked the series, especially when the original cast members or some of them appeared. The last episode was great. I liked it and was waiting for the end, but un fortunately it was cancelled. I don’t think it’s a good idea to let the fans hang in the way it happened. Just cancelling it, and later telling people it was cancelled because of the excuse that was given, does not justify it. I liked the show when Anna’s mother was in the scene where she is before all her “children” and she is speaking with them when Anna comes in and sticks it to her and kills her and Anna says to her daughter Lisa “this is how you kill your mother”. I said to myself,too bad the writers did not give Lisa a like and have had Lisa say to Anna “you mean like this mother” and have stabbed her bitchy mother Anna and killed her. Anna was evil and Morena Baccarin was perfect for the part.
The problem is that they did 2-3 episodes then took a break & then started it back up again after the thrill was over. If these shows wouldn’t lead people on just to drop them & expect the public to hop back on the train, they would last a lot longer. People need stability or will simply lose the will to return

The ending was so lame as I felt it was not finished. Talk about building up to a climax then nothing. The network should of least finished the job like the older V series did…
I’ve been fascinated with flying saucers since the 4th grade, when I read about Major Scott Keyhole and Project Blue Book. I read about Wright Patt Air Base, and years later I got to work there. With so little good science fiction out there, it is astounding to me that this series should have been cancelled. But I find this to be the case in a lot of good shows. getting so close to announcing the real e.t’s its not in the governments best interest to keep it on, really im surprised that it was on at all. but you know the government probably wanted to scare people so they can use that same fear (conditioning) for a preamp to say they are bad we need to protect our selves as an excuse to launch weapons into space wink wink the e.t threat . its easier to bull **** people when this is the conditioning they get, but good show to the people that know the truth

Of course that should not end. Rather, it should have an end with the victory of human and clarified everything and not endless, and with a question mark in your head. That lack of respect for the viewers. What happened to Kyle and the boy scientist? Than worth all the struggle of Erica? And the priest that was worth fighting too? What will happen to the reporter? Abc see never finish a lot is series. Castle I the only thing thy hav going. All the other net works or kicking their ass. Do miniseries like the orginal V or Happy Toen! I’m surprise Once Upon a time is still around. You wanna have something like lost . Then get with the program. Contest and mystery for people to win some trip to get them occupied.
