Though FOX promoted Wayward Pines as a one season show, the series did well enough for them to want to bring it back for a second season. Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan now says that he wants the series to run for three seasons. As per usual, the show’s fate will largely depend on the ratings. Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned.
The second season of Wayward Pines picks up where the first season left off. The residents of the town must battle against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation. Doctor Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) is a new resident of the community. He awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion. He tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and while helping to preserve the endangered human race. The rest of the cast includes Djimon Hounsou, Nimrat Kaur, Josh Helman, Kacey Rohl, Tom Stevens, Hope Davis, Shannyn Sossamon, Carla Gugino, Toby Jones, Tim Griffin, Charlie Tahan, Melissa Leo, and Terrence Howard.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
7/28 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The first season of Wayward Pines averaged a 1.10 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 3.82 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.

Love the show my family can’t wait for season 3
Just binge watched both seasons and have to say season 1 was waaay too slow in delivering the msg of what the story was all about-can you really wait all that long with a new series without loosing the audience interest? Also all these nonsense charachters that are daytime **** like the woman in the wheelchair, w her almost religious stuff as well as jason etc. Like the real interesting stuff just started happening, the future human kind abbeys and the old -communicating and they got some better actors in as well. pls just stop w the daytime tv/**** series… Read more »
Don’t cancel Wayward Pines!!! Too many good TV shows are cancelled – it’s annoying.
We all need waywood pines season 3 soon we love it
I like it very much. I am hope to see seson no 3.
I love Wayward Pines, please renew it!
Very intriguing show! There are a lot of interesting
storyline possibilities for season 3!
Courage, do not kill the town!
Wayward Pines has turned into a fantastic show with a great storyline. I’m so hooked! Please don’t cancel it. I do watch it on Hulu, because i never can keep, track of what’s on live tv at what day/time. It’s just easier to stream it. Hulu lets you know when new episodes are available, too.
This is a very cool show. I hope it sticks around.
Please, this is my favorite show, don’t cancel. I am older than the demographic you are basing ratings on,do we not count? We should be more important since most my age are retired and have more time to watch TV.
The story is really taking shape and unfolding really great. Interesting, look forward to see more.
Was episode 2 good? I forgot it was on and missed it. I tried streaming on FOX but their streaming kept crashing and I gave up. I had no other problem streaming from other outlets that night.
As for season 2 much of the appeal of season 1 is lost, the mystery of the place was a big part of the appeal for me.
I didn’t think season 2 would be very good after the ending of season 1, but it’s turned into a really great story. I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode. If they cancel it before there is a conclusion to the story, I’ll be very upset. I’m more hesitant to start watching shows now due to all the early cancellations, and I wait til, they come on Hulu or other streaming channels.
just started watching this show., its pretty good.!!
