Last year, ABC introduced a gritty anthology series called American Crime. It didn’t do very well in the ratings but the network renewed it for a second season anyway. Now, ABC has introduced another one called Wicked City. How will this one fare? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a second season as well? Stay tuned.
The first season of Wicked City is set on the seedy Sunset Strip in the early 1980s. It revolves around Detective Jack Roth (Jeremy Sisto) and his new partner Paco Contreras (Gabriel Luna) as they try to solve a high-profile serial killer case. The rest of the show’s cast includes Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Taissa Farmiga, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross, Anne Winters, and Jaime Ray Newman.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — typically around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
11/13 update: ABC has cancelled and pulled this drama after three episodes.

Note: These are the final national numbers (unless noted with an “*”). These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.
What do you think? Do you still like the Wicked City TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
This was such a great show!! I was really shocked that it has been cancelled! I looked forward to every episode.. I would love to have the sound track any ways:(
This was a really phenomenal TV series. Its a true shame its being cancelled after only three episodes. I just want everyone to keep in mind that sometimes people miss a few episodes…I mean, its only be three…but I’m not going to throw a million excuses at you guys. I realize the ratings are dropping dramatically but just so further promoting. Some more advertisements. Use the media, for instance billboards. Make people are of the problem. As I am sure staff already considered such things. Although people are now using the #SaveWickedkedCity in hopes of proving the shows true worth.… Read more »
I’m really disappointed they cancelled this show. I loved it! ABC I rarely watch you and when I finally like a show you air you cancel it. Back to AMC, And FX shows!
I totally agree! This was the only show I looked forward to on the network! Going to boycott them now. 3 episodes is ridiculous, they started mid season and didn’t even give this a chance.
I actually found a show I could get into (Wicked City) and it gets cancelled after just 3 episodes. Bummer! I hope it has a comeback. It intrigued me. So disappointed.
This way a damn good show! I’m pissed at abc. That show was sexy and Suspenseful I absolutely loved it
Talk about a crime scene… look at those ratings fall!! That’s some bloodshed for you!
Love Ed Westwick. Good show.
One of THE worst concepts for a TV show EVER.. as if we need one more opportunity to combine sex and violence. Hope the ratings continue to go straight down and ABC gets what it deserves.
The premiere of this show had less ratings and less demo than Forever has ever had in all of its’ 22 episodes last season in the same timeslot. Why ABC canceled Forever is beyond me, it was a great show.
Not sure I’d call Forever “great” but it was far, FAR better than the embarrassingly bad garbage that is Wicked City.
So this is the show that they replaced Forever with ABC really are clueless
Trash show – more scum – cancel – put a decent show family could watch!
Please do not cancel this show!
This show has my attention!!
If the first episode is any indication of this season then I’m in for a second! I have already sent a message via FB post to a friend who must watch this show. She was a huge Dexter fan therefore Wicked City should be right up her alley. Although, I was sorely disappointed to see Jeremy Sisto is only in 5/10 episodes… I’m hoping that doesn’t mean he left show. He is an integral part of the show and I truly can not envision this show without him. I would watch a second season of Wicked City. I’d definitely watch… Read more »
In the true tradition of ABC…..more scum and more bad ratings to follow. Move along folks, there’s nothing to see here.
