TV show description:
A high-tech crime drama, the Wisdom of the Crowd TV show centers on Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner (Piven). After his daughter Mia (Cowen) is killed, Tanner sets out to design an online platform for real-time, crowdsourced crime solving.
In his obsession to find his child’s killer, Tanner is motivated by the idea that a million minds are better than one. He pins all his hopes on harnessing the “wisdom of the crowd,” in order to solve this crime and as many others as possible.
Taking inspiration from Sophia, the personification of Wisdom, Tanner names the platform Sophe and drafts Detective Tommy Cavanaugh (Jones) for his team. Cavanaugh was the first police officer to investigate Mia’s murder and worked it until he was abruptly removed from the case.
Tanner and Cavanaugh work with Sara Morton (Tena) an ingenious engineer, whose relationship with Tanner is not strictly professional. Rounding out the team is their nerdy lead programmer, Josh Novak (Lee), a skilled, capable worker, and Tariq Bakari (Matthews), a tech savant and ace hacker who may have some authority issues.
Meanwhile, Tanner’s ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale (Potter), worries about his obsession. Despite their divorce, she cares for him. Although he was not a good husband, Alex appreciates that Tanner was a good father. Their profound grief has forged in them an unbreakable bond.
Series Finale:
Episode #13 — The Tipping Point
Cavanaugh investigates the murder of a top Sophe user who filled his basement with conspiracy theory evidence. Also, Alex attends the release hearing for Carlos Ochoa (Ramses Jimenez), the man convicted of killing Mia.
First aired: January 14, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Wisdom of the Crowd TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
Cancelled or not, if the rest of the season did not aired to be left unfinished, then I will not step down ever. Not when bad guys are still in large responsible for Mia Tanner’s death.
Please don’t cancel this awesome show! Because a man or woman is accused of touching or whatever, these people are innocent until PROVEN guilty! These people who are coming out now after all these years why? If they never made a claim its their word against the accused. My thoughts are, grow up and be adults, so someone made a comment or hug you, you have the right AT that time to say Please do not do that again I don’t like it but wait for 20 years or whatever!! Come on, is this your 5 minutes of fame?!! I’m… Read more »
I’m 63, and I have been molested and raped and never reported it cause no one was going to believe me. Most rapes and abuses are NOT reported, and it takes courage, that I didn’t have at 5 yrs old, 11 yrs old or 18. Years later working I know I got jobs only because I had big boobs, I could tell as they never once looked at my face. So, until you’ve walked in someone else’s shoes, felt the abuse, been the victim, then give these women the benefit of at least listening to them.
I agree with you; these women should be heard but let’s wait until the accused faces their day in court. We the public, should not be so quick to criticize and condemn based only on allegations given by the victim(s).
I agree! Please do not cancelled this show. I really like it, it is different and it keep my interest. I would like to see more to continued fining the person who killed his daughter on the show.
They were cancelled. Just heard it from a member of production.
I think that Dr. Blume killed Mia after a May-December relationship that Mia then wanted to end. That’s why the killer has so much reach. He has brains and money …
I love love love Wisdom of the Crowd!!! There’s nothing else like it on TV. Then there are so many medical shows it is great that they came up with The Good Doctor – another favorite of mine…My sister loves Bull…
Please don’t cancel Wisdom of the Crowd…
Love the show. Please don’t cancel it.
Love the show. Hope it stays on.
Like the show very much. Hope it is not cancelled!
I absolutely love Wisdom Of The Crowd, it would be so cool if ordinary people on the street could catch criminals like on the show. Please don’t cancel as this is one of my favorite tv shows. Instead of just checking the stats on who tunes in the night of the show why not check who watches on the CBS app as well. I watch faithfully every week, however, I prefer on the CBS app with no commercials.
My husband (who typically won’t watch an hour show) loves this show – as do I! Please keep this show in the line up!
I love this show! It’s modern and different. Please keep this show in your line-up.
Wisdom of the crowd is a great show. Please keep this show for a few years. Its a refreshing show that everyone can get into. Glad to here they are adding a few extra shows for this year.
Please don’t take Wisdom of the crowd off. I love it. I love Jeremy Piven. It reminds me a little of the
Shoe the Fugitive. Searching for a killer.
I love it! Ingenious! Finally putting mobile phone users to work to catch criminals…who would’ve thought 🙂
I came up with this mobile application idea over a year ago. I think if this series showed the real wisdom of the crowd then it would be a great promotion. Art imitating true life. Stay tuned.
I like it.
Acting is good and so is storyline.
Hope it gets renewed
