TV show description:
A high-tech crime drama, the Wisdom of the Crowd TV show centers on Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner (Piven). After his daughter Mia (Cowen) is killed, Tanner sets out to design an online platform for real-time, crowdsourced crime solving.
In his obsession to find his child’s killer, Tanner is motivated by the idea that a million minds are better than one. He pins all his hopes on harnessing the “wisdom of the crowd,” in order to solve this crime and as many others as possible.
Taking inspiration from Sophia, the personification of Wisdom, Tanner names the platform Sophe and drafts Detective Tommy Cavanaugh (Jones) for his team. Cavanaugh was the first police officer to investigate Mia’s murder and worked it until he was abruptly removed from the case.
Tanner and Cavanaugh work with Sara Morton (Tena) an ingenious engineer, whose relationship with Tanner is not strictly professional. Rounding out the team is their nerdy lead programmer, Josh Novak (Lee), a skilled, capable worker, and Tariq Bakari (Matthews), a tech savant and ace hacker who may have some authority issues.
Meanwhile, Tanner’s ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale (Potter), worries about his obsession. Despite their divorce, she cares for him. Although he was not a good husband, Alex appreciates that Tanner was a good father. Their profound grief has forged in them an unbreakable bond.
Series Finale:
Episode #13 — The Tipping Point
Cavanaugh investigates the murder of a top Sophe user who filled his basement with conspiracy theory evidence. Also, Alex attends the release hearing for Carlos Ochoa (Ramses Jimenez), the man convicted of killing Mia.
First aired: January 14, 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Wisdom of the Crowd TV series? Should this TV show have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on CBS?
I love this show and the concept of it – everyone working together for a better outcome. Please don’t cancel it!
We are treading on very dangerous waters here with sexual misconduct allegations of occurrences that happened years ago. Some of my favorite people on TV have had their lives and reputations ruined. When there is a problem between you and another person, my phyilosophy thas alway been, “take it up with the source.”
LOVE THIS SHOW. CANT CANCEL IT TIL WE KNOW WHO KILLED MIA!!!
Enjoy this show very much. If I miss it, I can catch up On Demand. Hopefully, it will be renewed and will begin airing shortly.
For gawd sake, since when is a person found automatically guilty before all the facts are in or judgement in a legal setting has taken place. Suddenly with all these allegations being made, lives are ruined without any credence to the facts. This is a great show, Jeremy Piven is a great actor who deserves his day in court if warranted so leave the show in place and let’s assume he’s innocent for the time being. Suddenly, people are far too quick to find someone guilty before all the facts are known. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!
I just love everything about the show and keep checking if it’s back. I recommend to solved the Mia case to validate the Sophie program. I think there may be some who question the program is it cannot solve this case. I think it will continue success even if that happens. Best series I have watched in a long time. Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back,Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it back, Bring it… Read more »
I agree! Please do not cancelled this show.
I think it’s one of the best original and different show that has come along in a long time to bad that some are proven guilty first before they have a chance to prove they are innocent it’s happening way to often LATELY
I loved Wisdom of the Crowd, and was crushed when I read that CBS had canceled it. Shame on you, CBS. It was a great show….and I hope CBS has a change of heart. I have always liked the drama shows CBS has aired, and don’t like the fact this one didn’t survive. Loved the series!!!
Although this does require some suspension of disbelief, the program does a decent job extrapolating very acceptable concepts at an extreme level. Reign in some of the unbelievable elements and it will be more easily ingested for realistic considerations.
Love this show. Record it if I’m not able to catch in its time slot. One of the best of 2017. Don’t cancel. I’m not alone.
Please keep this show on, and I do agree with Lynn. I myself been accuses of things I did not do, and it took two years to prove it.
Most intelligent, well written shows are cancelled. Wisdom is thought provoking and has a great cast. Please leave on the air. It is one of a kind.
This is an awesome show. I don’t think it should be canceled based on accusations. Need proof
My husband and I loved Wisdom of the Crowd, and look forward to another season!!!
I enjoy this show. Why make everyone suffer for I persons mistskes. Replace him and keep the show
Best show ever! Please bring it back!
