There won’t be a third season of magic for the ladies of Witches of East End on Lifetime. The cable channel has cancelled the supernatural drama after two seasons on the air.
Witches of East End revolves around the ladies of the Beauchamp family who’ve discovered that they are witches with ancient magical powers. They must defeat unearthly enemies while keeping their abilities a secret from the other townspeople. The cast includes Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Rachel Boston, Mädchen Amick, Eric Winter, Daniel DiTomasso, and Christian Cooke.
The first season of the series averaged 1.67 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic — good enough to secure a second season renewal. The second season dropped 32% in viewers to 1.13 million and dropped 24% in the demo, falling to a 0.5 rating.
Unfortunately, the second season ended with several unresolved cliffhangers. Hopefully the producers will share how things would have been resolved at some point.

The show ended with multiple cliff hangers. We need to know what happens. Why does everything interesting get cancelled?

There Definitely needs to be a third season
I’ve watched this series three times now and I’ve loved it every time. I don’t understand why they didn’t make a third season, when there was so much potential for the characters to do more. It’s so frustrating when good series like this one are cancelled. Although it would be hard to pick up where they left off after such a time gap from series two, they could start a third series picking up the characters now … I really hope they do, as I think we all need closure!
