There are more zombies in Syfy’s future. The cable channel has renewed their Friday night series Z Nation for a second season.
A horror TV show, Z Nation begins three years after a zombie virus has gutted the United States. A ragtag band of everyday people must work together to transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California to the last functioning viral lab. The cast includes Harold Perrineau, Tom Everett Scott, DJ Qualls, Kellita Smith, Michael Welch, Anastasia Baranova, Russell Hodgkinson, Pisay Pao, Nat Zang, and Keith Allan.
To date, the first season of the series has averaged 1.45 million viewers with a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. It’s currently the cable channel’s highest-rated series in the demo.
The Z Nation Twitter feed broke the news of the renewal this way: “BREAKING: Ready for more z’s?! #ZNation has been picked up for a 2nd season on #Syfy!” No word yet on how many episodes have nbeen ordered yet.

YES …. I love z nation…. so much better than walking dead, and I’ve been watching walking dead since season 1. I can not wait to see what they do about the nukes. I dvr it and episode binge…Love it.. hurry up and get us some new episodes

Absolutely love Z Nation. I hate the walking dead. This is the best zombie series by far. The suspense, drama, Gore and intense action with a tad bit of comedy thanks to Doc and Murphy. Can’t forget 10k. Don’t let doc die and keep Murphy around still to! Can’t wait for the next season. Just dying to know when the next season will be though.

Z Nation has a great story line. Z Nation should go all the way. Z Nation is my favorite show and, I am not easy to please. Z Nation will be more popular than The Walking Dead!

Absolutely must renew. Doc must not die. Cassandra must live and become the new and more friendly Murphy. Figured out how the missiles will not destroy everything. They were on an automated launch but there were no humans around to actually arm the warheads. (For those who don’t know) warheads are on safe at all times and the ribbons are only pulled when the launch order is verified. With no human to pull the ribbons… well…. Think about it. For just this reason.
Better than TWD. Absolutely we want second season. But pls don’t kill doc.
