It looks like ABC is pulling Zero Hour off their schedule, at least for next week. The fourth episode of the new TV series had been scheduled to air on March 7th but the listing’s been removed from ABC’s press site.
Zero Hour debuted on February 14th to a disappointing 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.38 million total viewers. Week two saw the numbers drop to a 1.1 rating and 5.39 million and last night’s installment fell to a 1.0 rating with 5.05 million.
We’re waiting to hear if ABC is pulling the series for good or just temporarily. Either way, the show won’t be getting a second season.
Hopefully the network will at least let the five million faithful viewers see the unaired episodes at some point.
UPDATE: Reruns of Shark Tank will air on March 7th and 14th and then ABC will fill the timeslot with season seven of Wife Swap. The remaining episodes of Zero Hour may run this summer. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
What do you think? Do you like Zero Hour? Were you hoping that it would stick around?
Zero hour was a show that I really enjoyed. It has been a while since I have enjoyed a show so much. To pull the show after only 3 episodes is outrageous. Move the show to another time slot or different channel if the ratings were not the best. Very disappointed in ABC.
bring it back!!!!
Ok I could just rant for rant sake. But come on we who have seen this before should know by now that it doesn’t work. Year after year TV programs and movie morals have slowly gone done hill, for some of us who wouldn’t notice so as the world gets closer to the end of time the devil can bring more with him on the sly. I would give ANYTHING to be able to say things will change but it won’t. I’m not a pessimistic just a realist. Google the history of movies or TV and you will see for… Read more »
Well obviously you are a part that pays into that millions to cable, if not you wouldn’t be on the internet posting, and preaching your beliefs on others. I do help the needy, and animals…all kinds of charity, but there is nothing wrong with down time, and if we choose to do it being entertained by a TV show, then so be it. It is not FILTH, it is getting your mind somewhere else….and after a long day i like to be entertained, whether it is TV, music or going to a show or even a movie……so for someone whom… Read more »
It takes time, word of mouth and patience to wait for an audience to grow especially when a well-scripted television series is broadcast and three weeks for a mystery drama like Zero Hour to then be cancelled is disappointing. Home audiences now have DVR and Nielsen ratings are no longer accurate in today’s world. Reality television is turning people away from watching network television – there are so many other options. My wife and I looked forward to watching Zero Hour – loved the cast and all the twists and turns the story unveiled each week which kept us guessing… Read more »
I liked this show looking forward to the rest of it.
Change the time slot,or on another day This is one of the best shows ABC has come up with in a long time and now not only are they cancelling it ,but I don’t even get to see how it ends So disappointed!!! please finish the series ABC needs to get it together no wonder your losing viewers!!!!!
I loved the show I was really getting into it. I am so bummed its been cancelled 🙁
Really loved the series – I hope ABC honors commitment of 13 episodes for full first season. Show was real conversation piece – I’ve been telling people to watch it.
Dawg! this show was good I’ve seen better but it’s a whole lot better then that crap “realty” junk I want my conspiracy, and cool clocks, and rose colored apocalypse! If this don’t come back ABC is going the way of FOX and canceling all the good shows!
I loved this show every show I like gets canceled! It sucks I want to see the ending
I thought it was great…a nice change from the other reality tv and girl drama shows. I hope they return it.
This is one of the best shows ABC has come up with in a long time and now not only are they cancelling it ,but I don’t even get to see how it ends. It’s like watching half of a movie. I agree with others. Change the time slot, give it a chance. If I want to see a bunch of fish swimming in a tank, I’d buy an aquarium.
So disappointed. This was a really good show with a great mystery to be solved. I guess the show didn’t appeal to the masses because you had to think. This is not the first time that I have gotten involved in a show then it is pulled. Remember the show where every morning the guy woke up and it was the same day but different clues would be discovered? Same thing pulled, even after they promised to finish the series. I would rather watch a movie, at least you can see the end!
Nielsen smielsen this is a great show. I agree with others, change the time slot. Give this show a chance. If I wanted to watch a bunch of fish in a tank, I’d buy an aquarium.
Loved Zero Hour. Could not wait for the next episode. Please air on another night….a disappointed viewed!
