To little surprise, ABC has cancelled 666 Park Avenue, their struggling Sunday night series. While the network will air all 13 episodes, there won’t be any after that. In addition, ABC also cancelled Last Resort today and CBS canned Partners.
666 Park Avenue follows a Midwest couple who’ve moved to New York City. They end up managing The Drake, a prestigious residential hotel that’s not as nice a building as it seems. The TV series features the talents of Terry O’Quinn, Vanessa Williams, Dave Annable, Rachael Taylor, Robert Buckley, Mercedes Masöhn, Helena Mattsson, Samantha Logan, and Erik Palladino.
The show debuted on September 30th, in ABC’s troubled Sundays at 10pm timeslot. The premiere’s ratings weren’t very impressive, attracting a mediocre 2.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.9 million total viewers. That was 30% lower than what Pan Am had registered a year earlier.
Park Avenue’s numbers have gotten even worse since the debut. The coveted demographic dropped to a 1.7 rating in week two (down 19%) and a 1.5 rating in week three (down another 12%). The ratings perked up a bit in weeks four (a 1.7 rating) and five (a 1.6 rating) but dropped to a 1.2 rating last Sunday.
But, what do you think? Should ABC have cancelled 666 Park Avenue? Will you miss the show?

I was upset to see cancelled. Guess I should of known , when there is something I like it gets cancelled I’m worried storybrook will be next. Shame on u ABC
Was disappointed to once again not see 666 in Sunday line-up, so hit Google. Had no idea it was canceled and I’m so ticked! It completed OUAT and Revenge to make Sundays my new favorite night of TV! It’s like these TV producers don’t give a chance to almost anything outside of the cookie-cutter reality shows, true crime/legal/medical/cop dramas or a few poorly crafted comedy shows. No wonder we all turn to cable for good series anymore.
Some of work jobs that prevent seeing at exact air time. So we tape. And get devoted to every chapter. Canceling this … Yet another show only encourages me to stop watching and getting attached to these shows. Twin Peaks was first and it just continues.
I really hope that ABC reconciders airing this show. The writers are very creative and the actors are very talented.
I’m so sorry to see that 666 has been cancel I really did like that show, so did other members in my family. Maybe if you move it to a different night, there are so many un- answer questions about the lead characters
Every time I like a show they get rid of it! Here I have been waiting for it to come back after the holidays and I find out it has been cancelled
BOOO!
I loved the show, don’t believe ABC canceled one of the better shows in their lineup, Thank God I have movie channels..
Boooooooo! Loved that show!
I am disappointed they canceled the series. I loved it!! I kept waiting and waiting for it to be advertised. I liked the casted actors & actresses & the story could have gone many different directions. I am totally bummed now:(. Bring it back!!!
I really enjoyed 666 park ave-was looking forward to the continuation of it..dumb ABC!! I hope the stupid shows they have now in that time spot really bomb & their ratings fall–maybe then they’ll bring back 666 park ave .
I do enjoy revenge and the thursday 9:00-11:00 programs-but that’s about all i watch on ABC-maybe Wed. night at 10:00 p.m. would work.
I agree but you all need to go onto ABC’s website
& tell them this. What’s funny is they still air other shows
which are so very trashy & ridiculous like the Bachelor Pad
Wake up ABC, wake up!!!
Why for Gods sake do you take off a show that is great?!!!!. Not all of us like like run of the mill mushy “family or muddy shows” adults like to watch something out of the box sometimes!! This is a shame, just when we get something different it gets taken off. Shame on you!!!
666 was one of the best shows on TV, you really got to think about what was going on…OMG a show that made us think what were they thinking…..ABC you suck….you put a great show and get us involved then yank it off the air without an ending….again ABC SUCKS BIG TIME…… I think its time to watch a different network…
The show was great at the beginning then it lost interest. the actors looked like they were tired of the show too. The acting got really bad
Wow… this show was wonderful! I’m sure like others, my DVD was set to record ALL episodes. ABSOLUTELY loved Vanessa Williams and Terry O’Quinn together. Great team. We don’t have many adult dramas with good and interesting story lines. It would be nice to know the demographics for the group calling the shots of what should be seen. There are MANY other shows ABC could/should cancel (The Chew, The Bachelor/Bachelerette, Modern Family, The Middle, Happy Endings, to name a few).
