A Gifted Man: Petition, Ways to Help Save the CBS TV Show

Save Gifted ManOn this CBS TV show, Patrick Wilson plays a selfish surgeon. Unfortunately, A Gifted Man could use a ratings transplant. The numbers haven’t been good and the TV show will surely be cancelled.

What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for CBS is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, well, it’s not.

However, if you like A Gifted Man and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.

  1. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on CBS.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be counted directly. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
  1. Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.
  1. Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
  1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue.   1. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).

    I started watching this show on Netflix so I could catch up with it thinking it was on Season 2 already .. then I found out it was actually cancelled .. so disappointed. I hope it comes back or another network picks it up. There's no other show like this .. :(

    Better than Grey's Anatomy. The Gifted Man portrayed human nature to a tee. It had great messages about opposing personalities; about kindness and self-sacrifice. Why do you always cancel the best of the best? Please bring back this series!!!

    My husband and I loved this show. We were just talking about it last night, hoping it would be coming back on soon. Now I find out it was cancelled. I respectfully request that you reconsider and renew this program. It's nice to watch a show that is promoting sex and violence, but rather the good in people.

    Please bring this intelligently written, beautiful storyline back to us as fast as you can. My husband and I looked forward to every episode, and were shocked it was cancelled. We watched each week on network television, and I have watched each episode again on NetFlix. This is entertainment worth my time and dollars!

    I came across this show on Netflix and watched the entire first season in two days. Being someone who is going into the medical field, this show is very interesting to me. Bring it back!!!

    This show is one of the most wonderful shows I have seen in a very long time. I don't understand why these networks don't give a good show time to get on it's feet. A few weeks and they cancel it. Why don't they cancel all the stupid reality shows and keep the good shows on the air??

    I don't understand why you canceled the show. It got great stories, great characters and great actors. Seriously one of the best medical drama I ever saw. We totally need a season 2!!!

    I first found the gifted man a couple of weeks ago on netflexs. I become totally engrossed in the show. I loved the surprised plot of Dr Holt and Anna meeting and then finding out she was killed and how she appears to him and change his ways. The shows were so interesting, very heartfelt. I cried on several occasions. That was a wonderful feeling, as it brought the empathy out of me. I wished there was away to bring this wholesome show back. Maybe, there is a way to make new series and please bring "A Gifted Man" back. Sincerely, Donna Taormina

    Just finished watching season 1 of "The Gifted Man" on Netflix. Great show. So disappointed that it was cancelled! Hope CBS gets the message and brings it back.
