Blue Bloods: Petition and Ways to Support the CBS TV Show

Blue BloodsThe Reagan family on Blue Bloods has experienced a lot of ups and downs in their lives but have always found a way to pull through and keep going. Unfortunately, their TV show may not survive. Its ratings, particularly in the all-important 18-49 demographic, aren’t that strong and the TV series could very well be cancelled.

What can you do? Remember, the ideal scenario for CBS is for many millions of people to watch the show on their television sets, while it’s being broadcast. Unfortunately, ratings are put together based on a sampling of viewers. If you’re a “Nielsen household,” your viewing is being counted. If not, well, it’s not.

However, if you like Blue Bloods and want to see it continue, there are a few things you can do to help.

  1. If you’re a Nielsen family, watch the show whenever it’s on. If not, watch it on CBS.com or purchase episodes online so your viewing will be counted directly. Encourage others to watch the show. You might know a Nielsen family and not be aware of it.
  1. Talk about the show with others; at school, at work, online, or wherever. Creating a buzz about a show that you’re invested in gets other people interested and might help bring former viewers back.
  1. Sign the petition below and encourage others to do the same.
  1. Write to the network. Be respectful. Everyone responds better to courtesy. Tell them how much you enjoy the show, that you’ve signed the petition, and that you want to see it continue. You can use this form or, even better, write via “snail-mail” immediately to: Ms. Nina Tassler, CBS, 7800 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90039, RE: Blue Bloods
  1. Take note of the products that are advertised during the show. Write the advertisers and tell them that you appreciate their sponsoring the show and that you buy their products (if you do).

To CBS, CBS Television Studios, Panda Productions, and Paw In Your Face Productions:

We, the undersigned, enjoy watching Blue Bloods on the CBS network. The acting is very strong, the storylines are very engaging, and it’s unlike any other cop show on the air.

Please find a way to keep Blue Bloods on the air. We are devoted viewers who will continue to watch the program, encourage others to do the same, and will support the series’ advertisers as well. Please keep it going, either on CBS or, if necessary, on another channel.

Thank you for your consideration.

Please keep the show on air, it is one of the best on now.you take the show off that us older people like, just think if we stop watching all the shows. It's all about money to the stations, if I don't watch then I don't buy things.

I love this show! My father was a retired police officer (he recently passed) and wore the uniform with great pride for over 30 years. I love the stories - the dinners and the personalities that actually deal with real life issues. I look forward to seeing it every Friday and so does my entire family - siblings - we aren't Neilson households but feel we should be counted. Love, love Tom Selleck - and Henry is a hoot - great cast - love it - please keep it on.

Please keep Blue Bloods on the air. My wife and I love the show, and have watched all the episodes available on Netflix. We now watch when scheduled, if we are able, but we also record the series and watch when we are both able. The show reminds me of the cop shows I used to watch with my grandparents when I was a young boy (I.e, - Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Rockford Files, Hawaii Five-o, but with a focus on family and being good. This show is well written, produced, directed and acted! Thank you for making such a good and wholesome drama.

This show has become one of my favorites ; I search each day to make sure I do not miss any of the days and times that might air my Blue Bloods. I love the action, characters, plots and, of course, that little touch of family bonding. I am not above crying at the end of many of the episodes. A show such as this, with great actors, terrific writing and production should not be cancelled! Sincerely, Carolyn

Ihave watched every single episode of Blue Bloods. Always look forward to it, and get excited to see what the story line is, and how this wonderful family interacts with each generation. Love the sit-down dinner and prayer, and discussions they have, even allowing the children their 'input'! Please don't cancel this show as I will truly miss it.

Great show. I truly would be very disappointed if it were to be cancelled. My work schedule does not allow me to watch during it's airing but I record and watch every single episode. I find the acting and story lines to be very entertaining and a lot of common sense can be learned and used in everyday life. Please keep Blue Bloods in production. Respectively....Ron Jettmar.

We are late blooming fans if this program. The stories are well written ms the characters are so believable. Seeing the family work out their relationships While serving the community is refreshing, as is the faith component, which is not over done, but effective as a part of who they are. It sets s high standard for good moral conduct. Please consider keeping this show on the air.

Hi, CBS. I really, like Blue Bloods, mainly because of the leadership of Tom Selleck. I also enjoy watching All the other cast members. They make a really believeable show. I especially think you should continue with the understory of Joseph REagan who died when the show opended. Continue to let Jamie investigate and follow that story line too. P.S. Could you also give a little more air time to the wife of Danny, I like her style as well as their two boys. I hope you keep this show on the air, I watch it all the time, I just love, love, love Blue Bloods. Thanks Joi

PLEASE keep Blue Bloods on the air! Best TV Drama around! I don't care what Neilson says......in my house the ages that watch it all together are 13, 18, 21, 40, 49 & 71. It's one of the very few shows a family can watch without embarrassing topics, scenes and language. We all want it to stay and we support the advertisers!!!!!!!!!
