Last Resort: TV Show Cancelled by ABC

Last Resort canceled by ABCLast Resort has been sunk. ABC has cancelled the newbie drama. The network plans to air all 13 episodes but won’t order a back nine or a second season. ABC also cancelled 666 Park Avenue today and CBS dropped Partners as well.

The TV series takes place in the submarine Colorado when its officers are mysteriously ordered to destroy Pakistan. Sensing that something isn’t right, they require confirmation and are subsequently fired upon and hunted.

The cast of Last Resort includes Andre Braugher, Scott Speedman, Daisy Betts, Robert Patrick, Daniel Lissing, Dichen Lachman, Camille de Pazzis, Sahr Ngaujah, Jessy Schrams, and Autumn Reeser.

Last Resort TV show supportThough it received a lot of promotion, Last Resort debuted to mediocre ratings; a 2.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.31 million viewers.

The numbers declined over the course of the season and last night hit a new low with a 1.2 rating and 5.68 million viewers.

What do you think? Will you miss Last Resort? Given the ratings, should ABC have cancelled it?

I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and I am disgusted that this has been cancelled. I thought it was one of the better drama’s to come out in quite a while.

ABC creates good shows. Unfortunately the message they share to compete with other networks is reality shows. The Taste? Splash? Why even try to create a drama that can last when you throw this garbage? ABC deserves to be the worst network because they show that their brand of reality shows is all that matters. The Revolution? Really? That lasted maybe 1 month. Time for changing of direction in the entertainment division.

I truly believe that last resort was an excellent series!

I kept looking for last resort, then decided to check online.
I’m sorry that ABC Decided to cancel a good show and leave the less desirable shows on the air.
I do have to concur with 666 being canceled, I just have a hard time with that kind of a show.
What’s so much evil in the world to have a show that talks about it is something that I prefer not to see

Was a great show. Was canceled cause it too closely resembled what ought to happen to this administration. But we’re too cowardly to kick Obama out

I loved last resort, I watch all my network shows on Hulu, maybe the network should consider viewers watching the show via other media outlets, I hate to see this show go, I really enjoyed and looked forward to watching this show.

Another good show canceled, ABC is doing something very stupid, they keep bringing back the stupid reality shows like, Dancing with the Stars, the Bachelor , and some other ridiculous shows

Quite ironic that Zero Hour had half of the viewership Last Resort had. Hopefully Andre Braugher realizes that ABC execs know nothing about television. If I were an advertiser I would not support a network who gets the income fixed and then drops the programming for that timespace…Idiots!!!

I am very disappointed with ABC they can’t keep any decent shows on. All they want to air is reality shows. I think that last resort should summit its scripts to a different channel and see how they do then.
