Mom: Season One Ratings

Mom TV show on CBS: cancel or renew?Chuck Lorre has co-created another sitcom for CBSMom. Will it be a ratings smash like The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men or, will it be a dud and be cancelled instead? Is there room for yet another Lorre sitcom? Stay tuned!

On Mom, a single mom in recovery (Anna Faris) returns to live with her single mother, who’s also in recovery (Allison Janney). The cast of the show includes Sadie Calvano, Blake Garrett Rosenthal, Spencer Daniels, Matt Jones, Nick Corddry, and French Stewart.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Allison Janney and Anna Farris are hysterical
together and I love this show. There chemistry is
great together. Love the AA relationships and the addition
of Kevin Pollack has added another dimension. Not crazy
about the stoner boyfriend- wasted character. Hope they
write him out. Sure hope it gets renewed!

I really hope this show continues. I want to give huge applause to Chuck Lore and his writing team. While I love the show and the edgy humor, as an adoptive mom I was worried that the plot line could really go offensive or just heartbreaking. Adoption is such an emotional experience for all involved not just the child the adoptive parents and the birth parents, but the whole extended family. The last several episodes have been great giving a light hearted but true glimpse of building an adoption plan for a newborn. Last night’s episode was a brilliant balance of comedy and heart touching emotion. Great Job.
