As you may have already heard, Zero Hour has been cancelled by ABC after only three episodes. The news doesn’t come as a surprise as the debut represented ABC’s worst scripted premiere in the history of their regular seasons. The numbers for episodes two and three were even worse.
Still, there were at least five million or so people who made a point of watching Zero Hour each week. They’re understandably upset about the cancellation news — as are members of the cast.
Addison Timlin (Rachel): “The end of zerohour brings me great sadness, but every ending is a new beginning and that is always laced with hope. Thank you all, truly.” “What to the world was just 3 episodes was a whole year for us. Truly an honor to know, work with and love you, to everyone on the team. Xo”
Jacinda Barrett (Laila): agreed with Timlin’s second statement and added, “couldn’t have said it better. Xxxx”
Carmen Ejogo (Beck): “In a NY minute everything can change In a NY minute things can get a little strange” “#nomorezerohour I guess that means I can start watching American Idol again. #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife” “I believe process is often more important than outcome. I had the BEST time making @ZeroHour_ABC with everyone all year, so #noregretsbaby”
Scott Michael Foster (Aaron): “I absolutely loved #ZeroHour and everyone who worked on it. Will miss filming one of the coolest and enjoyable shows I’ve been on.” “To all my wonderful twitter followers, you make the hard part of this job so much easier with your kind words and support. Thank you.”
What do you think? What was your reaction to Zero Hour being cancelled? What did you think of the work of the show’s cast and crew?

that was dumb they stupid reality shows on tv and take something good offi found zero hour very interesting and Pray they bring it back
I personally loved the show and would have at least like to have seen what happened in the end. Thought the characters and story was great and have missed it greatly.
There has been so many GOOD shows canceled, and stupid reality shows go on and on!!! When will the network people wake up. The stars were all great in Zero Hour –Too Bad!
I have not watched Zero Hour but recorded all the episodes to watch while recovering from surgery. Won’t watch them now. How sad shows aren’t given a chance before they are canceled. Never have and will not watch a ‘reality’ show.
Zero Hour was a great show and it should have not been cancelled after 3 episodes. It was an intelligent show with historical connections that I found engaging and had me wanting more ….. fast paced and highly effective if you actually were watching and listening and not going to get the bag of chips. Maybe tv has no room for intelligence and creativity…..especially ABC. OH ….. let’s see what is coming …. Splash…..what a wonder of a show. We can all walk out on that one. Very disappointed!!!!!!!! OR another horiffic cop show filled with gory details and the base nature of humanity……of course we need another one of those on tv. You should have waited. People were watching.
I think this was one of the better shows on tv. My family and I looked forward to watching it every week! Thought this was a great cast and great difference in the way we viewed tv but now that you have cancelled it we are out to find something that may or may not be as good. So Thanks alot!!!!! We will never know.
Loved the show – don’t know how you can base something on just 3 episodes – especially when the first one was on Valentine’s Day. Not a great night to launch a new series.
I am so sick of this…Last year ABC cancelled Missing with Ashley Judd…fast paced “Bourne Identity” type show…this year the smart Zero Hour…its official…the dumbing down of America is complete!!!…now since ABC is airing Splash…about these ridiculous D Listers jumping off a diving board…ok REALLY????????????????
Im so tired of really good shows being canceled!!! It’s to the point that I don’t even wanna get interested in an series anymore because the goods ones get canceled and the absolutely STUPID ONES stay on the air forever. How could ABC keep 1600 penn over Zero Hour????
Sell it to SyFy. They know how to handle a series that intelligent people want to watch.
Why, why would they have cancelled this show! as much as I dont watch television I made it a point to see this show. A wonderful mixture of Divinci Code and National Treasure. I have full understanding that the ignorant masses want nothing but Honey Boo Boo and Teen moms, but there are some people who actually want a plot and not just in another run of the mill police drama. Thank you ABC for taking off the only television show worth a damn on your network in ten years!
I will not watch another ABC show again. I remember when they canceled the show Traveler a few years ago. Another excellent show. Someone at ABC needs to be fired.
Fire the masses!! This show was great!
Turns out it will be easy for me to boycot ABC until Zero Hour returns. I only watched a couple of other shows on ABC. Thank heavens for CBS and Netflix! Bye bye Jimmy and Kerry.
why is it all the really smart and high quality shows that premiered this year are being canceled? Because since the last writers strike, networks filled the void with cheap to produce garbage so called reality tv shows that have turned the already lazy brained american tv public into mush minded couch zombies that wouldn’t know quality if it hit them with a sledgehammer. Reality tv is an oxymoron anyway since it suffers from the Hiezenberg Principle, that which is observed does not behave the same way as when unobserved, therefore there is nothing “real” about reality tv. It’s times like these I’m ashamed to be an American, because my fellow citizens are too lazy in the brain to appreciate shows that actually make you think for a change. Probably why there hasn’t been a decent mystery suspense thriller movie since the 70′s that didn’t degenerate into grade B horror.
Scarlette… If this site had a LIKE button I would be using it about now!
Yep, I’m officially done with ABC. I can’t take this anymore. They have aired so many creative shows, only to give up on them WAY TOO SOON!!! When you find a show that is unique it just might take a little time to catch on (are you listening???). At any rate, Buh-Bye ABC, nice knowin’ you.
