Timothy Hutton is back for another case. Entertainment Weekly reports the actor will return for season three of American Crime.

From John Ridley, the ABC anthology drama explores the consequences of a new crime every season. Hutton has starred in the series’ past two seasons.

While Hutton’s role is unknown, the upcoming season will “be set in North Carolina and deal with labor issues, economic divides, and individual rights.” Hutton joins fellow returning castmembers Regina King, Felicity Huffman, and Richard Cabral.

From exec producer Michael McDonald:

John and I are thrilled to have Tim return to season 3. We believe that Tim’s undeniable talent will be showcased in a role unlike anything we have ever seen from Tim. He will shock the audience in a darker twisted turn as a wealthy man struggling to keep his family and fortune.”
