Year-to-year, compared to H8R’s premiere in the same timeslot, the network was up by 116% in the demo (vs a 0.6 rating) and up by 221% in viewership (vs 1.29 million). This was a very promising start for the new series. It beat NBC’s Animal Practice in the demo which is impressive for the tiny CW network (and frankly sad for the peacock one).
Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

originally i was thinking guy with a bow in arrow in the city? that’s a bit weak, this show will end up like The Cape. but surprisingly this show is SO good. it has the eye candy for my wife (she constantly repeats that Stephen Amell should play lead role in 50 shades of grey movie). what is it that makes this show so good? i like how they are not affraid to make “the good guy” be comfortable with straight up killing “the bad guy”. the story line is very interesting too and there are a lot of directions… Read more »

The Arrow is a great new show.
This is the first thing I’ve ever watched on CW. Love it!
The female lead is super boring so is the sister.
Batman lite? “Super Hero” that now has someone he respects knows what he is/does. Although not a butler but a body guard. Still good and glad they extended the run.
Great Show~! Hope it’s not cancelled.

It wan’t the best pilot I’d ever seen. Its pretty silly and its got a bunch of plotholes already but its got potential. Hopefully they’ll make use of that.
