Did the teen genius see this coming? Netflix has cancelled the Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love comedy series. There won’t be a second season but, the multi-camera sitcom’s not over quite yet.
Created by Mario Lopez and Seth Kurland, Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love stars Paulina Chávez, Conor Husting, Bella Podaras, Reed Horstmann, and Jencarlos Canela. The series revolves around Ashley Garcia (Chávez), the world’s only 15-and-a-half-year-old rocket scientist and robotics genius engineer. She gets the chance to work for a prestigious company and moves across the country to live with her fun-loving Uncle Victor (Canela), a pro football player turned high school coach who has a hard time with responsibility. The series is also known as The Expanding Universe of Ashley Garcia.
The first (and only) season of the show has been released in parts. Eight installments were released on February 17th and six more episodes were released on July 20th.
According to Deadline, the show won’t have a second season but, a 15th episode — a Christmas installment — has already been produced and will be released later this year. The episode is a standalone episode and, unfortunately for fans, won’t serve as a true series finale.

I can’t believe they canceled this show. It was one my family could actually watch and enjoy together. Really wish they would reconsider.
I was so… frustrated when they didn’t make an actual season 3. I mean, how can you just end a tv show were the main character spills her secrets on accident?!?! And it doesn’t even show how Stick, Tad, and Brooke. I also hope they make a knew season! I love this show and rematch it frequently, hoping season 3 will come out. :(((((

I also CAN’T STAND that cliffhanger!! And now i know there won’t be anything to continue!! How does Ashley explain that she likes stick on the TV!!! Was Stick pleased, upset, flattered. Was Brooke mad, sad, surprised. AND POOR TAD!!! OMGGGGG HOWWWWWW

We LOVE Ashley Garcia. Great cast, relatable characters, clever & funny writing, interesting scenarios…most of all, great role models for smart young women and respectful, supportive young men. Please do not cancel this series. My 3 daughters and I have really enjoyed our time together watching- and rewatching- this series. Please reconsider your decision and RENEW it!!!

This show is exactly what is needed! Positive role models and great story line. Fabulous writing is such a breath of fresh air. The teens act their age and are wholesome. Love love that Latino actors are used. I want a season 2 please!

The show was a sweet, youthful show showing family at it’s best and acceptance in diversity. Great family show, no violence, and catering to an audience that is usually forgotten.

Can’t believe that Netflix is canceling another great show me and my kids loved watching it it was funny and had serious moment’s. Why does it seem like shows like this that has no cussing and not all about sex seems to get the boot every time you don’t find many shows like this anymore it remined me of the shows I grew up watching funny, talking about important issues in a way that kids can watch it .I’m am very disappointed in Netflix canceling all the great shows here lately fixing to no longer subscribe, what is the point… Read more »

I hate that this show was cancelled. It was a funny show and also had some serious moments Along with important issues. Don’t know why they cancelled it. Big mistake.
I can’t believe they’re canceling it I see no reason to it was a good show and I know people watched and Netflix is just going to deprive us of a part 3 , just like so many other great shows that if they wanted to they could continue them, but they are just taking that away.
