FOX has ordered six additional 15 minute episodes of both Axe Cop and High School USA!, bringing their season totals to 12 installments each. They currently air late on Saturday nights.
At the TCA Summer Press Tour, Nick Weidenfeld (FOX’s head of Animation Domination HD) told The Futon Critic, “I thought to roll out 12 gives us a little more of an anchor… It’s also way better for production because we can get invested in those shows… The best part of this process from a production standpoint is that if things start to feel like they’re gaining traction while you’re making them, you can continue. It’s very flexible because all the talent is in-house.”
Golan the Insatiable and Lucas Bros. Moving Co. will be joining the Animation Domination HD block in January. Two more new animated shows will premiere next April. Their details will be released in the near future.
What do you think? Have you seen High School USA! or Axe Cop on FOX? Is one better than the other? Are you glad to hear the network has ordered additional episodes?
What are you, Fox, BAD GUYS!?! Bring back Axe Cop!!! 🙂
I miss and love ax cop and high school USA.
Please bring them back. Make as many episodes as
Possible. Am an adult not a kid but I
Love these shows.
Thanks
Dennis
I really like Axe Cop. Can’t wait to see more episodes. I haven’t been in High School for 40 years, so I can’t really relate the the Highschool cartoon.
