It appears that Battle Creek has lost the ratings war. The low-rated Sunday night police series has been cancelled by CBS.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The show debuted on March 1st to a disappointing 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.92 million viewers. The numbers got even worse in later weeks and has fallen to lows of a 0.7 demo rating and fewer than six million viewers.
Those numbers aren’t good enough for CBS to order a second season so they’ve now cancelled it.
There are four unaired episodes remaining and the last installment is currently scheduled to air on May 24th.

man! Such a great show; humor/drama/great characters! We binged watch it twice and after every episode I said to my wife “what were they thinking cancelling this gem”!

I thought it was a great series. I never saw it when it was on TV. It certainly wasn’t the actors or writers fault. Maybe just on on the wrong day.

I just saw it for the first time. My wife and I really enjoyed it. Saw it on Netflix and were looking for the next season. Wish they’d bring it back.

just finshed season 1 on Netflix and went looking for season 2 very disappointed no season 2 I loved the series very funny with sone serious moments hopefully there will be a season 2
