TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.
First aired: May 24, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season instead?
renewed for a second season
I can’t believe this show is cancelled! I keep checking these sites to see if there was some mistake, and it really wasn’t cancelled, or somehow it received some sort of reprieve. Each episode was enjoyable, and the character development was just hitting its stride! There is so little quality TV — this is funny, entertaining, and sort of “wholesome.” I’m really sorry to see it go! I’ll keep checking back, hoping that it gets picked up elsewhere, or someone at CBS wakes up!
I am having problems leaving comments on the cbs site. Is this happening to anyone else? Maybe they are tired of hearing all the complaints about canceling Battle Creek and Keeping Csi cyber. It is time for some fresh new shows enough with the same Ncis and csi. Try something new.like Battle Creek

CBS DEFINITELY needs to give this show another season! The first few episodes faltered but they have gotten better and better! One of my favorite shows on TV now. Hoping another network picks this up. I doubt Vince Gilligan will just give up. He spent years formulating this idea and I can’t see him letting go of it just because CBS has no vision. Let’s hope!
Creator Vince Gilligan MUST find another network to grow this show. The characters are really starting to grow on me. This show has a nice dynamic that needs to be given life. There is a Facebook “Save Battle Creek” page that is starting a petition of sorts. Look it up, fans!
I am partial. I live in Battle Creek, Michigan- the setting. I want it to succeed, obviously. Now, from an objective TV viewer’s point of view, here you go: this show started too slow for my liking and I still think it needs a little more “bite” or “grit” or whatever you want to call it. That said, I just love the gradual character development and I think the acting is stellar. The dialogue writing, too, is well above average. How can you pull the plug after a half season (CBS only committed to 13 episodes)? Does that really let… Read more »
i simply love this show please keep it on
Battle Creek should NOT BE CANCELLED – I absolutely love it, and it gets better and better as the season progresses. CBS needs to reconsider its decision and give Battle Creek another chance; also, it needs to be better promoted – the more peope who watch it, the more appreciated it will be.
CBS execs. don’t have a clue – Battle Creek one of the best shows out there – drama, comedy, hot chemistry between Russ and Holly. Hope we won’t see another stupid reality show in its place.
Great show!
What idiot decided to cancel. Les Moonves?
This is great show-the CBS network is the wrong network. Move the show to an edgier channel–like TNT, USA–any network that will take a chance on a quirky, innovative, amusing and creative show, and you have a winner. This show is a gem–stand by it.
