TV show description:
A drama, this TV series revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers. They have polar opposite views of the world and (possibly) a grudging respect for each other’s abilities as they clean up the streets of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) is a good but gruff and hard-boiled detective. He’s had his world turned upside down when strikingly handsome and charismatic Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) opens an FBI field office at the police station — and he chooses Russ to be his partner.
Milt’s polished sophistication and access to unlimited state-of-the-art equipment is impressive to his new co-workers in the absurdly underfunded department.
The pair work long hours together in the economically distressed city and it remains to be seen if Milt’s charm and endless supply of high-end resources or Russ’s old-fashioned cynicism, guile and deception will be the keys to catching the bad guys.
Other characters include Commander Guziewicz (Janet McTeer), Detective Fontanelle White (Kal Penn), Holly Dale (Aubrey Dollar), and Aaron Funkhauser (Edward Fordham, Jr.).
Episode #13 — Sympathy for the Devil
Milt survives a car bombing and enlists Russ to track down his would-be assassin, leading to startling revelations as to why Milt is the way he is and what brought him to Battle Creek.

Such a good show, dark, dry, comedy that was different than all the other shows on tv. I wish that Netflix or Hulu have the insight to add it to their lineup.
Bring Back Battle Creek
I wish the show would come back. Tons of enjoyment for both my husband and myself. Great dynamics between the leads, and good ensemble work overall.
This was the best new show I’ve seen in a long time! The characters were amazing, the acting fantastic, and the plots incredibly entertaining. I am heartbroken to find out it was cancelled. It is completely perplexing.
I was looking forward to season 2. I can’t imagine why it was canceled.
Bring Battle Creek back! Great dry humor and ALL the actors were great! We have been waiting for the new season and were really disappointed to find out the series was cancelled! What is CBS thinking? Oh wait, another “reality” series. Please give us something that has great acting and writing like say………. “BATTLE CREEK”
Very entertaining and well written and acted. Dont understand what more you need to be successful. I vote to bring it back.
Probably my favorite show of last year. Had the same dry humor as Breaking Bad, can’t figure out CBS. I guess Reality Trash TV and stupid super hero shows rule network TV. Go figure. Bring it back….

It was a brilliant show. Why do they keep pulling off great shows after one season. Bring it back please. Bring it back, bring it back! It was too short a season so figured something off. England wants it back.
Well what do you expect? A show with clean non sexual situational humor that actually made you laugh out loud. Characters that made you feel good and caused you to want to be sure to see the next episode and save them so you can watch them again because they made you laugh almost as hard the second time you watched. Of course the Hollywood elite are going to cancel the show. Obviously, the writers and producers weren’t peddling enough of the liberal social agenda. I love the show! Bring it back!!!
Best new show on network TV. I will miss all those characters, especially Detective Russell Agnew. The suits have killed another masterpiece. Should have had a long run. Apparently quality TV consists of explosions, shooting lots of bad guys, and male and female law enforcement officers in tight tops and bottoms. Character and plot development matter not at all to the RATINGS GOD.
This is the PERFECT show for NETFLIX! Great cast, great writing. LOVED it. Come on NETFLIX…pick this is up and run with it.
Josh Duhamel and Dean Winters are magic together. Great script, cast, bring it back. My heart skips a beat when I see the old Law and Order shows. Bring Mayhem and the Dream Boat back!
