Showtime is greedy for more Billions. The network just announced they’ve renewed the TV show for a fifth season.
The drama series is set in the world of high finance and centers on the conflict between U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) and self-made billionaire Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis). The cast also includes Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile, and Condola Rashad.
Although Billions‘ ratings have dropped around 25% during its fourth season, the series remains one of Showtime’s top-rated shows for the 2018-19 season. So far, season four is averaging a .17 rating in the 18-49 demo and 785,000 viewers.
The season four finale of Billions debuts on Showtime on June 9th at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

LOS ANGELES – May 8, 2019 – SHOWTIME has picked up a fifth season of its hit drama series BILLIONS. Starring Oscar® nominee and Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Paul Giamatti, and Emmy and Golden Globe winner Damian Lewis, BILLIONS airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. BILLIONS is currently averaging 4.2 million viewers per week across platforms. The season four finale will air on Sunday, June 9. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine and Jana Winograde, Co-Presidents of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc.
“BILLIONS’ addictive examination of wealth and power is supremely entertaining, smart and surprising,” said Levine. “We’re loving season four and can’t wait to buckle up for the wild ride that Brian and David and their brilliant cast have in store for us in season five.”
When everyone is out for revenge, no one is safe. Bobby Axelrod and Chuck Rhoades, former enemies, and Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff), the chief counselor to each, have come together to form an uneasy but highly effective alliance, aimed at the eradication of all their rivals, including Grigor Andolov (guest star John Malkovich), Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon), Bryan Connerty (Toby Leonard Moore) and Waylon “Jock” Jeffcoat (guest star Clancy Brown). Ambition and betrayal have long been at the heart of BILLIONS, and this season all the characters find out exactly how high a price they’ll have to pay to satisfy those needs. The series also stars David Costabile, Condola Rashad, Kelly AuCoin, Jeffrey DeMunn and Malin Akerman, along with new guest stars Samantha Mathis, Kevin Pollak, Jade Eshete and Nina Arianda.
BILLIONS is created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin. For more information about BILLIONS, visit SHO.com, follow on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and join the conversation using #Billions.
What do you think? Do you watch Billions? Are you glad it’s coming back?
I am so happy that Billions is coming back!!!! Love this show!!! One of the best on tv!!!!
Billions is the greatest show on Showtime. more Axe and Wendy. She’s a great actress[ loved her on Sons of Anarchy] feed her perverted husband to the wolves. let Axe show her what a real man can do for her in bed and out!!!
You have KILLED an unbelievably good (& original) show, basically turning it into a joke. It has become borderline unwatchable. The forced idiotic movie quotes (& pop references) have gotten so bad it sometimes takes me 2-3 days just to get through one episode.
Love Billions. Great characters with a few that you love to hate. Glad it will continue for another season!!
I am loving Sason 4,its awesome.I have watched all the previous seasons as well and truth be told,i love all the season they are all great.I just hope that Billions get a renewal of a Season 6 and 7 as well.Billions is actually one of my favourite shows
These people in this show are terrific. All of them. I am currently watching the previous seasons which are awesome and hopefully will catch up to the current season soon.
Wonderful….cant wait for each week. Never end this series. A twist of Sopranos on Financial Steriods, killing each other with deals and dollars. Love it!
Best show on TV! More Wags! More Axe! More Wendy!
