NBC RENEWS HIT DRAMA SERIES “BLINDSPOT” FOR SECOND SEASON
Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander Lead Stellar Cast as Tattoo Mysteries Continue
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – Nov. 9, 2015 – NBC has ordered a second season of its hit freshman drama “Blindspot,” the #1 new series of the fall in the 18-49 demo.
With Sullivan Stapleton as an FBI agent who’s not to be messed with and breakout star Jaimie Alexander now firmly established as a TV leading lady, “Blindspot” has proven to be both a ratings and critical smash. Since its Sept. 21 launch, the series has dominated the 10 p.m. Monday timeslot.
The Wall Street Journal says “Blindspot” manages to exert instant powers of seduction and keep a viewer rapt,” TV Guide says the series is “a sleek and exciting showcase for Jaimie Alexander’s elaborately inked ninja,” the Los Angeles Times writes that “‘Blindspot’ comes out of the box (or that darn bag) with tantalizing, high-energy grace” and USA Today calls it one of the top five shows of the fall.
“We are over the moon with the success of ‘Blindspot,’ and want to thank our producers and amazing cast for creating one of the most riveting shows on television. Jaimie and Sullivan have done an amazing job of ratcheting up the tension each week in trying to unravel the mystery of Jane’s tattoos,” said Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment. “We literally can’t wait to see what the second season will bring.”
“Blindspot” is averaging a 3.7 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49 and 12.7 million viewers overall so far this season, according to “most current” averages from Nielsen Media Research through the season’s opening six weeks, making it the #1 new series of the new fall season in 18-49. “Blindspot” is undefeated in the time period so far this season versus its broadcast competition in adults 18-49 and is outrating its ABC and CBS competition combined in that key demo.
“Blindspot” is also one of the most time-shifted shows on television, growing by +71% so far this season in adult 18-49 rating going from its next-day “live plus same day” rating to “live plus seven day Nielsens (from a 2.65 to a 4.54) and by more than 5.7 million viewers overall (9.3 million to 15.1 million).
A beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, who begin to follow the road map on her body to reveal a larger conspiracy of crime while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.
The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton (“300: Rise of an Empire,” “Strike Back”), Jaimie Alexander (“Thor: The Dark World,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Marianne Jean-Baptiste (“Broadchurch,” “Without a Trace”), Rob Brown (“Treme”), Audrey Esparza (“Black Box”), Ukweli Roach (“The Royals”) and Ashley Johnson (“Much Ado About Nothing”).
Writer Martin Gero (“Bored to Death,” “L.A. Complex”) serves as executive producer along with Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “The Mysteries of Laura,” “The Flash”), Sarah Schechter (“The Mysteries of Laura,” “The Flash”), Mark Pellington (“Cold Case”) and Marcos Siega (“The Following”). Pellington directed the pilot episode.
“Blindspot” is a production of Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions.

What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Do you plan to stick with it?
I’m happy to see that they have the ending mapped out, in case it is canceled. That means they can put the show out of our misery AND we can get closure. It’s a win-win…
Love,Love,Love the show!!! Jaimie Alexander is fantastic as Jane/Taylor(temporarily)/Alice/Remi …
My husband and I have been marathon watching, and cannot wait for the next episode; we are so hooked!!!
I am 71 which is only a number and think it’s the best program on television please keep it going. Thanks
Love this show keep it for season 3
I cant believe you got a budget to make a second season! The fake blond with dark browse was enough to make me not to watch t h e show. Other than that its not a bad show. Get rid of the fake blond!!!!!!
This is a amazing show my whole family is hooked. Can’t wait to dee what happens next…
Love..love..love it. Can’t wait for it to start again.
I love this show for its originality and it’s dramatic storyline. The lack of reasonable FBI dramas needs to be addressed. This type of show is entertaining and has that mystery about Jane’s history holding the series together. Very enjoyable!!! I will stick with it, for sure.
This girl with the dead boyfriend that she imagines is still alive and talks to,is one of the dumbest things I’ve seen in along time! If they keep this nonsense going I’m done with this series!
Sadly if the music remains at the same level, they may as well stop the show. I love the show, but the music levels remain, I will not bother watching anymore
Love the show but the background volume needs to go l will be going.
Yes love the show but the background volume really needs to go. can’t stand it anymore.
