Airing after The Voice on Monday nights, The Blacklist became a hit TV show for NBC. The network is hoping that history will repeat itself and Blindspot will also be a ratings success. Will it be a hit or a flop? Cancelled or renewed for a second season? Stay tuned!
On Blindspot, a Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) is found inside a body bag that’s been left in Times Square. It’s marked for the attention of the FBI. Suspecting a bomb, the agents are shocked to see Jane emerge naked and covered with complex tattoos. Having no memory and having no records of her existence, the tattoos provide the only clues as to the woman’s identity. Supervising Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is brought in and is shocked to find his name inked on her back. The rest of the cast includes Audrey Esparza, Rob Brown, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Ukweli Roach, and Ashley Johnson.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
11/9 update: NBC has renewed Blindspot for a second season.
5/24 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Blindspot TV series? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love this show despite some of these reviews. It’s the only TV I watch. I could care less about the time slot as I watch it the next day or two on the app. I agree that they are dragging out her identity release way too long or the romance between both guys has been going on too long also but it still has me returning every week. Keep it on and start to build more of a foundation of her past. I can’t handle another Lost. Please have a plan!
So glad this show will be back I love it! The 8 pm time slot, maybe now my husband can stay awake to watch it.
The show will be back but in the Wednesday 8 pm spot. Why NBC is moving a show that won its time slot is beyond me. Someone said they want to try a new show in the 10 pm slot. We’ll find out if moving it was a bad idea next season. Moving it could end the show.
RENEW…..Its the only show we watch
Worst acting in a long time. Why is Kurt always pissed? Mayfair was horrible, good ridence… The side characters are the best actors. The writing is so underwhelming and obnoxious. Has anyone else noticed how all of the build sequences are disturbingly predictable? They just state the obvious and force every climax. It’s just painful. The viewership is speaking. Down with bad acting and poor plot conception of pseudo action dramas.
I’ve following the show through the web, and it’s just awesome. The script brought an amazing turn of events from the 1/2 tiil the end of the season. And, in my opnion, it’d be way more than ‘just sad’ if this show was canceled. This finale was just mind blowing, it can not stop there!!
this show is turning into a soap opera and is no longer an action spy thriller. Binge watched the first half or so of the season and then dropped it.
I concur. I dropped the show 2/3s into the season. It became too tedious to watch
The series is intense. The only thing that may work contrary to it is the ratings system that is much different now. The actual number of people that record it, watch it not during the time is higher – the exposure is greater than the numbers posted. I am curious how NBC accounts for overseas, distribution and recorded instances for review.
Ah, the old it’s Nielsen’s fault excuse as to why the ratings are falling not the fact that people are just no longer interested in the show
I like “Blindspot” very much and think the show should be renewed for another season…..Please!!
I just want to know about the director’s secret. What is with that? I like the way there’s a new story every week and you don’t have to follow a serial story. But, yes, I agree it’s taking too long to find out who her former lover is and what that syndicate is all about.
You must have hated The mentalist :b
Last night I dropped Blindspot from my viewing list. I found myself preoccupied the last few episodes, so I really didn’t care about it anymore. A shame since it started with an interesting premise
The show started out with a great story line and wonderful twists & turns in the plot. Unfortunately now it has just dragged on and on. Not enough clues and explanations for the reasons Jane is where she is. Also what happened to the twist about her teeth not matching the DNA with where she was born? Either be more forthcoming with information or cancel the show.
looks like this show is going in the crapper. Look at the decline in viewership
I have watched Blindspot since the first episode. Each episode really has you thinking. Each character has a story and this makes you confused as to who is the good and who is the bad.. There is intrigue, romance, deception, mystery, and suspicion involved in each show. I record it also so I can confuse myself more on the weekend. This is such a clever story line and I hope the series is renewed.
I really like the show, I would like it to be renewed unlike most of you! and for those who asked for something different, last episode was not about the tattos at all so I think you are just being too hard on it. What’s more, I am not a native english speaker and I can completely understand and HEAR the dialogues through the background music, just saying!
