Last season, the ratings for Blue Bloods rose when compared to the previous season. Will they continue to rise or will they fall. Will this CBS show be renewed for a sixth season or will it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Blue Bloods revolves around the Irish-American Reagan family and their work as part of the NYPD. The cast includes Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Amy Carlson, Sami Gayle, Vanessa Ray, and Marisa Ramirez.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The fourth season of Blue Bloods averaged a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 11.52 million total viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Blue Bloods TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or be renewed for a sixth season?
In a time May 2014- December2014 where real Police Officer are not seen at their best Blue Blood give you an hour to respect those officer that wear the bage honestly A dream to watch because reality for a black male has a target on his back not just from the street but from those sworn to protect NYC I guest taken a way an hour of comfort let us live in reality
Loved the first and second seasons best. Some episodes seem contrived and trite. Although I would not want to see it end, I hope the writers come up with better story lines and more development of characters. I can appreciate the moral/ethical dilemma the characters face but wouldn’t mind episodes carrying over to have more well-rounded story and character development.
Excellent show – please keep it going!!!
I loved this show the first three years but it’s been a big let down this year. Where are the before dinner prayers? Where are Linda and Frank’s father in the scripts? Very disappointing. I also don’t like that the show seems to be taking on political type storylines. I’ve kept watching but I’m about ready to quit.
Before dinner prayers?? This show spends too much time on religion (Catholicism), elegant meals and not enough on police and detective work.
Please continue to show Blue Bloods. I love this show. Wouldn’t miss it. And now I am watching the reruns. I love everyone involved in the family with the exception of Nicky. They have her acting like a spoiled brat, is too opinionated and doesn’t seem to show respect to her mother.
I love BlueBloods in Nikki acting like a brat is getting kinda old but I love how she talks about her views I hope for many more years of this show in I hope we get to see nikki turn in to a cop just like her family oh and for Jamie and Eddie to hook up
I love the show Blue Bloods. The cast is perfect together. Whatever the storyline is about the character shows such reality. A great show. Please renew show.

Just recently started watching this on Ion channel; now I binge watch on Thursdays; my new favorite “prime time” show!
We could do less with the Sunday dinner scenes after attending church. How many could afford all this food for so many? Yes, it makes me envious, because there are millions of families who struggle just to make ends meet. There could be another medium on “how to teach us to do the right thing” other than a large table full of expensive food.
We love the program, its writing, acting, characters, production values.
and have heard many people say how enjoyable the sunday dinner parts are. Sees to “anchor” the whole program.
Please keep this show on the air.
Many young people find it refreshing, thought-provoking, while still being riveting.
Diane…I like the program, too…with the exception of the Sunday post-church dinner scenes. It’s the same old, same old every week. I wish my dinner table could look like this…even if only once or twice a year! Why can’t the writers/producers delve more into the personal lives of, for example, Detective Bias and Officer Eddie…instead of focusing on the Reagan clan entirely?
For those of who who are not getting it, Blue Bloods is a TV show based on the Reagan FAMILY, thus, their Sunday night dinners are a FAMILY tradition. As a kid, our family of 7 ate together every night for dinner, not just Sun, but Sunday was a bit more special as far as menu goes. It is also why the Reagan FAMILY is highlighted in the show. I think it is a shame that FAMILY dinners have fallen by the wayside in present culture, eating different meals out of a box or drive-through, and then maligned in a… Read more »
This is the ONLY show on tv that shows any kind of human morals. We need more shows like this one to teach us how to do “the right thing” even when it is hard. I am surprised that tv has a show like this. I would like to see more shows like this. Hurrah for Tom Sellack. A grateful thank you to the writers and producers. Keep this show and I will keep recommending it to others.
Our whole family loves this program….young and old.
I have told friends about it. And now, they are devoted followers
There are too many reality shows, action driven programs and “fluffy” programs.
This is a superb drama, the characters draw you in.
Please, please , please let this continue
VERY BEST TV PROGRAM ON THE AIR BRING BACK (ESPOSITA ) GREAT TEAM SAID THE Z MAN
I completely agree. Great program
Do you include overseas watchers? This is another great cop show. Who doesn’t love Tom Selleck, Donny Wahlberg (better than his brother) and the gorgeous Mr Estes. Do love the family dinner scenes. A little disappointed in young Nicky’s character. Thought she was pretty smart and up-to-date on crime, after all she is in a family of cops and lawyers. Maybe the writers forgot she was involved in a school friend being ‘Trolled’ on facebook.
