Last season, CBS cancelled three of the network’s seven sitcoms. Of the four that survived, Bob ♥ Abishola was the lowest-rated. It doesn’t help the series’ prospects for a fifth season renewal that the network doesn’t own the show. Will Bob ♥ Abishola be cancelled or renewed? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.
A romantic comedy series, Bob ♥ Abishola (read as “Bob Hearts Abishola”) stars Billy Gardell, Folake Olowofoyeku, Christine Ebersole, Matt Jones, Maribeth Monroe, Vernee Watson, Shola Adewusi, Barry Shabaka Henley, Travis Wolfe Jr, Gina Yashere, Bayo Akinfemi, Anthony Okungbowa, and Saidah Arrika Ekulona. As the story begins, Bob (Gardell) is the owner of a very successful compression sock factory in Detroit and runs the business with his mother (Ebersole), his sister (Monroe), and his younger brother (Jones). The stress of the job lands Bob in the hospital with a heart attack and he falls in love with his cardiac nurse, Abishola (Olowofoyeku), an immigrant from Nigeria. She came to America with her young son (Wolf Jr.) and they live with her Auntie Olu (Adewusi) and Uncle Tunde (Henley). Despite their very different backgrounds and her initial lack of interest, Bob is determined to win Abishola’s heart. He eventually does, but life has a way of getting complicated.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s chances of staying on the air. The higher the ratings, the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available.
5/23 update: You can see the latest night’s ratings in context.

Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: Season three of Bob ♥ Abishola on CBS averaged a 0.52 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 5.31 million viewers.
Note: These are the final national ratings, including all live+same day viewing and DVR playback (through 3:00 AM). Early fast affiliate ratings (estimates) are indicated with an “*”. While these numbers don’t include further delayed or streaming viewing, they are a very good indicator of how a show is performing, especially when compared to others on the same channel. There can be other economic factors involved in a show’s fate, but typically the higher-rated series are renewed and the lower-rated ones are cancelled.
What do you think? Do you like the Bob ♥ Abishola TV series on CBS? Should it be cancelled or renewed for a fifth season?
*11/30/23 update: Bob ♥ Abishola has been renewed for a fifth (and final) season by CBS.
Please keep the show on, you are really wrong in canceling the show. Please don’t cancel.
I miss it I looked forward to it every Mondays at 8:30.
Keep the show on ,I enjoy watching Bob Abishola
We’re only making 13 episodes? Does that mean the show is gonna be canceled? Maybe even show us it in the end
The number of episodes. There’s says there’s only 13. So what can be wrong here. They need to show some clarity to this why isn’t there a full season there’s only 13 episodes. Please explain
Love this show please renewed season 5 so funny love it .
Love Bob❤️ Abishola! There’s nothing else like it streaming or on the air and CBS is never given it anywhere near enough publicity!!! It’s funny, refreshing, and smart. I want it to run for another 10 years!
Actually this show got more hype than anything on the network, save some of its procedurals. The show that did not get any good Justice that it deserved was Good Sam. They should have gotten a lot of ratings. Because it was a good show. But abasola is not a good show, and you can clearly see by the many down votes.
Abeshola gets a lot of hype and promotion. Every time I come on the app I see the show being advertised. It gets low ratings for a night time show. A lot of down votes prove that a lot of people don’t really like this show, and I’ve seen it, it’s very bad. My last post got deleted, so I wonder if ratings are the only thing being considered here. 18 to 49 are the only people watching TV, and another show that was on CBS, called Good Sam, got a lot of viewership from people outside of 18 to… Read more »
That last post got dictated because I am visually impaired. So there seems to be some mistakes. But in a nutshell I said 18 to 49 are not the only people watching TV and a b e s h o l a is bad and Good Sam was good.
