After two seasons on the air, The Bonnie Hunt Show has come to a close. The daytime talk show, featuring actress and comedienne Bonnie Hunt and sidekick and executive producer Don Lake, attracted a group of very devoted viewers but unfortunately there weren’t enough of them to keep the show on the air.
Original episodes of The Bonnie Hunt Show have been airing throughout May but the last episode actually taped was broadcast on Monday, May 10th. The guests on that show are actress Holly Robinson Peete (The Apprentice) and her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, and Brody Jenner from The Hills.
The series finale is likely to be aired again before the show goes off the air but here are some clips of the fond farewell.
I miss Bonnie! Wish the show wasn’t cancelled
To think the trash they leave on TV and something funny, truthful and full of comments on what is going on in this life at this time, has to be ended.Well this does not surprise me,I cannot understand how Maury can have a spot but Bonnie can’t.What is this world coming to! I say we all raise Hell till Bonnie comes back.
SWhe was a breathe of fresh air!!! I will really miss seeing her show and getting my daily pick me up. Good luck Bonnie! Maybe she will be back again sometime?
I can’t believe Disney canceled The Bonnie Hunt Show. Disney canceled Sally of Cars fame?!? My mom and I watched Bonnie at the gym every Monday & Thursday afternoon at the gym. It made my mom look forward to going honestly–and me too. Today we’re stuck choosing between sports, CNN & a soap. We chose our iPods. Bonnie we’ll miss you.
Bonnie Hunt, her mother Alice and her whole crew are refreshing and wonderful. I am a former business manager and Veteran and her show was on my daily schedule. I always looked forward to her honesty, self-depracating
humor and funny guests ( old and young) to help keep me going. I was shocked to find the show had been cancelled. You know, they say what goes around comes around, so NBC executives, “watch out” with your programming choices! Young people need and want quality programs on television.
OMG, I wondered why my austin tv station did have Bonnie on anymore. At first, I thought it was summer hiatus, but when I check the stations line-up, it showed it was airing. Called station and they said Disney cancelled the show.
My husband and I are certainly going to miss her smiling face and her great personality. What a shame.
I hope another production/distributor picks her up.
I was shocked to find out that Bonnie’s show had been cancelled. I work during the day time but would sometimes record her shows but would watch when I was home. Her show was a “feel good” time spent.
I’m sure we will see her again.
I am really going to miss Bonnie’s bright laughter why in the world would my local “Fox 13 “here in Gainesville Fl take this off? I will miss this show a lot I am a Disablied Veteran and I really did enjoy this every weekday It was part of my morning with coffee Now there is not even a talk show at this time slot 🙁 Really sad what people would rather watch isn’t it?? There should be more humor shows and less reality shows We all have enough reality in our own lives thank you!!
Frank, it’s not the local station. It’s Disney that cancelled her.
Losing the Bonnie Hunt Show is such sad news! I am still in shock to know that her show has been cancelled. She did everything with such grace and kindness. Her “feel good” clips at the end of the show brought laughter to everyone who watched them. Her dear mother Alice was a joy with her jokes and honest answers to questions. In her time slot, how could she compete with the “Big Guys”? The NBC Network should take off one of those horrible soap operas and let Bonnie have that time slot. NBC needs to rethink their programming. At… Read more »
I’m sitting here watching a rerun of the final show, and it really tears me up. This is good TV. Why is it going away? This is also true entertainment, not like all those reality shows. Thank you, Bonnie, Alice, Don and all the others who made me laugh when all I wanted to do was cry. I was and still am out of work. You made me laugh and gave me something to look forward to every afternoon fir 2 seasons. Thank you for all the laughs. God bless you. I know you will all go on to bigger… Read more »
I am very sorry to see the Bonnie Hunt Show go off the air. Her show is clever, witty, funny, current and wholesome. We need more shows like this.
Bonnie and her show brought us such great joy everyday that it’s hard to believe that it’s not going to be on anymore. What a loss!
I have followed Ms. Hunt’s career in film and Tv but never dreamed what a wonderful talk show she made. She comes across to the viewers as a every day person, not a Tyra Banjs flaunting star, but a woman who wanted to entertain, inform, and mostly make us laugh. She will be missed very much by this view. Hope to see Bonnie soon in another media format.
The world needs alot more Bonnie Hunts. Discovered her show at a very low point and her humor and kindness brought me alot of joy. Maybe if they had put her at a different time, she would still be on?????. She and Don are the ones that should replace Oprah . I hope we get to see her in something soon. Please I hope the stations keep showing her reruns they make my day. Happiness always Bonnie and Don. Lynda Liversage Midhurst Ontario Canada
I will miss seeing Bonnie and her bright cheerful personality in the morning. It feels like she is a friend who is moving out of town and you know you’ll never meet again.
