We’ve reached peak ’90s Nickelodeon nostalgia. According to The AV Club, Cal State Fullerton is hosting an upcoming exhibit celebrating the 25th anniversary of Nicktoons.
Nicktoons launched in 1991 and included classic animated series like Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Doug, and Rocko’s Modern Life.
Titled “Happy Happy Joy Joy: Art and Artifacts from 25 Years of Creator-Driven Cartoons,” the exhibit will comprise production art, videos, installations, and more themed around Nicktoons.
Along with the show, visitors will be able to sit in on Q&A’s with Doug creator Jim Jinkins and Rugrats co-creator Arlene Klasky.
The exhibit opens April 16th. It will run at the university through May 22nd.
